Michael Alfonso, the son-in-law of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, has secured Wisconsin's 7th Congressional District.
The 26-year-old is set to be the youngest member of Congress after clinching the same seat Duffy held from 2011 to 2019.
With 96% of the votes counted, Alfonso (R-Wis.) garnered 56% of the vote while his Democrat opponent, Fred Clark (D-Wis.) received 43% of the vote, according to the Associated Press.
Alfonso is married to the Duffy's eldest daughter, Evita, and together they have a baby daughter, Rosita.
Fox News personality Rachel Campos-Duffy posted on X early Wednesday, celebrating Alfonso's win and stating that he was a "true sign of hope on a tough election night."
"So proud of Michael Alfonso & our daughter, Evita! They worked so hard!!! Michael will be the youngest member of the new Congress & the first one born in this century," she wrote. "Go Gen Z! Time to lead the way!! Michael you are true sign of hope on a tough election night."
