United States Representative Ilhan Omar won her reelection bid for Minnesota's Fifth Congressional District, decisively defeating her GOP opponent.

With 100% of the vote counted for Tuesday's election, Omar (D-Minn.) garnered 76.48% of the vote, triumphing over John Nagel's (R-Minn.) 16.23%, according to the Associated Press.

"Thank you, Minnesota! I'm incredibly honored to continue to represent you in the People's House with a resounding mandate. We will not allow Trump to silence us," she posted on X to celebrate the victory.

In a Wednesday post, she recognized the wins seen across the board in Minnesota for the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (DFL).

"Our team organized up and down the ballot across Minnesota and the country to elect leaders who will fight for working people. And today, we're celebrating what that organizing made possible," the congresswoman stated.

"We flipped the Minnesota House and Senate, secured a DFL trifecta, and helped Democrats take back the U.S. House and Senate," she continued.

Omar went on to congratulate Democrat candidates on their election wins in the midterms, including Governor-elect Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), Senator-elect Peggy Flanagan (D-Minn.) and Attorney General Keith Ellison in Minnesota, as well as Senator-elect Abdul El-Sayed (D-Mich.) in Michigan.

"This is what people-powered organizing look like. When working people come together, organize, and refuse to give up, we can change the direction of our country," she said. "Now let's get to work."

She also posted on Wednesday to her staff-managed account, again relating the election results with President Donald Trump.

"We're getting justice and accountability for every single Minnesotan who's suffered under Trump's terrorization of our state. Our time is now," she said.

Ahead of Tuesday's election, Omar faced allegations of using a false name, and that her purported real last name matched that of her ex-husband and alleged brother Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, according to officials familiar with recent investigations. A federal court filing from U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro's office referred to her as "Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, a/k/a Ilhan Abdullahi Omar."

On October 12th, the congresswoman's home was raided by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and Pirro later told Fox News that "there are several investigations going on" surrounding Omar in relation to her immigration status and her financial disclosures.
