A California man named Vito decided the best way to celebrate his 97th birthday was to throw a Halloween rager with a bunch of twenty- and thirty-somethings...

And dance to the Bee Gees!

Vito was out on the dance floor jamming out to the 1977 classic "Stayin' Alive." Shortly afterward, he passed away.

His best friend, Caleb Turner, had some words:

'He did pass away that night surrounded by his best friends just after we sang him happy birthday,' Turner wrote. 'He got a good dance in right before. It was an amazing birthday party.'
Turner also revealed that Vito had been dealing with health problems, although those closest to him hadn't realized how serious they were.
'He had some medical issues that we didn't know the severity of, and he passed away peacefully with his favorite music going,' he continued. 'Rest in peace, you legend. Thanks again for the amazing cake, Eden.'
