Just when you thought things couldn't get any worse for Los Angeles, they elected a dues-paying Democratic Socialist (Communist) mayor.
Socialist candidate Nithya Raman ousted Karen Bass and won the Los Angeles mayoral race.
Los Angeles Councilwoman Nithya Raman increased her lead over Karen Bass earlier Wednesday.
Raman opened up a two-point lead over incumbent Bass after a Wednesday morning drop.
"Raman had 377,458 votes to Bass' 360,864, the Associated Press reported, a margin of 16,594 votes. Bass had a narrow advantage in the early returns Tuesday evening, but that evaporated overnight," KTLA reported.
The Decision Desk called it for Raman on Wednesday evening.

Recall that Nithya Raman mysteriously gained enough votes to bump Spencer Pratt off the ballot after the Democrats continued to count ballots for days.
Nithya Raman was in third place on election night and even fought through tears as she conceded!
However, the next day Raman pulled ahead after huge mail-in ballot drops broke in her favor – after the election.
The entire country watched in horror as the Los Angeles Democrat machine worked to get rid of Spencer Pratt.
Former Independent Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt called this back in September.
I told everyone that if you don’t vote for me, Raman will beat Bass. That’s why she entered the race 10 minutes before the clerk's office closed. She knew I was gonna destroy Bass 1-on-1. Good luck LA. pic.twitter.com/00aaxVDTgb
