This is the moment a clueless Ford Fiesta driver sparked chaos on a supersized cycle lane after seemingly mistaking it for a road.
The driver was caught on camera pulling out of a junction on Wallisdown Road in Bournemouth, Dorset, during early morning traffic.
The man is seen ignoring the carriageway and instead driving along the clearly marked red bike lane behind a stunned cyclist.
The driver continued to follow the cyclist even when the bike lane split from the road for a bus stop, before mounting a pavement to avoid hitting him.
The footage was captured by Liberal Democrat councillor Adrian Chapmanlaw, who wasted no time reproaching the driver for his mistake.
The man, who was wearing a high-vis vest and is believed to be a delivery driver, rolled down his window and said: 'I saw you, I was setting up TomTom, I got lost.'
An indignant Mr Chapmanlaw replied: 'You're not on the road! This is a cycle lane.'
The driver then turned across the cycle lane and rejoined the actual road.

Mr Chapmanlaw is well known in the Bournemouth area for posting videos of drivers committing minor motoring infringements he captures on a helmet-mounted camera.
He shared the latest footage on his social media page Dorset Safer Roads.
Mr Chapmanlaw said of the incident: 'Occasionally I come across a driver whose incompetence exceeds levels of belief. It's bonkers.
'As he came out of the junction you can see the driver's side wheel bump up the kerb and the central lines in the middle of the car should have given him a clue, and the fact it's red.
'Motorists whinge about us not using the cycle lanes but it's not safe with drivers like this. If it had been term time there would have been kids going to school.
'I was only doing 15mph, I cruised to a stop expecting him to stop behind me and when he didn't that was a bit frightening.
'He is totally unfit to drive as he is. There is no excuse for this.
'I hope somebody that knows this guy, or the guy himself sees this video and thinks I need to get some more training as I'm obviously not safe.

'I think there needs to be better driver training, I think at a minimum there should be a theory test retake every five years as a lot of people are not up-to-date on the Highway Code.'
Last month, Mr Chapmanlaw was suspended by the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Liberal Democrats after he refused to remove another helmet-mounted video filmed outside a primary school over 'safeguarding concerns'.
The councillor cycled past Manorside Academy in Poole, Dorset, at drop-off time with his helmet-mounted camera on record.
He shared a video on social media of a taxi parked on zig-zag lines outside the school gates, with a number of children and parents in the background.
The school pleaded with Mr Chapmanlaw to remove the footage, claiming children could be identified, which could lead to safeguarding issues.
Unbowed by the concerns of the school, the councillor boldly hit back, claiming that 'no one is identifiable' and refused to take the video down.
He suggested the 'unfounded complaint' from the school had been motivated by angry parents who had been caught parking on the zig zags.
He urged the school to do more to stop parents parking illegally and claimed the complaint was 'just another tactic' to stop him from reporting bad drivers.
Mr Chapmanlaw's response to the school led to criticism from fellow councillors.
Simon Wilson, of the campaign group BCP & Dorset Motorists, said: 'This is a disgrace. A serving Liberal Democrat councillor has openly refused a school's safeguarding request and pushed the video out again.
'Nobody is defending parking on zig-zags but when a school's safeguarding lead asks for footage of its children to come down, the answer should be 'done', not an argument about pixels and an accusation against parents.
'Whether a child can be identified is for the school and the parents to judge, not the person who filmed them.'
The Daily Mail has asked the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Liberal Democrats if Mr Chapmanlaw remains suspended.
