An unusual customer left the owner of a North Carolina bagel shop screaming with fright.
It was a normal day for the Bagel Dock Express workers when a 3-foot alligator wandered into their North Carolina shop last Thusday.
Captured in a surveillance video, the gator strutted into the shop clueless about where it was going.
It made its way through the kitchen and then entered an empty dining area.
The reptile then waited near the display fridges while shop owner Jesse Driscoll was looking out of the entrance door.
Unaware that he was in close proximity to an alligator, Driscoll walked back into the dining area.
Shocked to see a gator in the store, he jumped back and called his colleague to look at their new guest.

A 3-foot alligator strutted into a North Carolina bagel shop last week, sending its employees in a panic mode

The gator was rescued and reloacted by the Southport Police Department and Animal Protective Services
The owner told WWAY News that the shop was closed at the time, meaning there were no customers present.
Before Driscoll spotted the gator, he said he was busy installing a new oven.
The astonished owner posted the video on social media with a hilarious caption.
'Apparently, word of our fresh bagels has made its way into the swamp!' he said.
Southport Police Department and Animal Protective Services assisted Driscoll with the rescue.
The team arrived at the location after they received a 911 call and safely captured and relocated the tiny bandit.
'It's just so far out of the ordinary for a bagel shop,' Driscoll told the outlet.
'You can see lots of things. People coming in. Friends coming in to say hi,' he said. 'But never in a million years did I think I'd see an alligator.'
Driscoll's guest is not the first unusual visitor in Southport.
Earlier this year, a 12-foot alligator was located on a woman's doorstep and an 8-foot alligator was caught at a bank drive-thru.
