Let's check in on the Catholics in Europe for a moment, shall we?
Oof.
Here's The Catholic Herald on the missal:
A revision of the German translation of the Missal will feature 'inclusive' language, as the bishops of the German-speaking nations warned about using 'strongly masculine images of God'.
Running until June 2027, a consultation has opened regarding revisions to the translation of the Missal used for the Novus Ordo in German speaking nations. Suggestions, along with explanations for them, are being accepted from 'experts and those engaged in pastoral ministry'.
As announced by the German Bishops Conference (DBK), the alteration is intended to be 'a moderate revision of texts from the existing Missal.' They aim to do so without returning to the Latin texts in order to retranslate the liturgical formula.
The German bishops have decided that the language used in the Bible is outdated, or in other words, they think God's words and ideas are outdated.
God's just too mean, right? His own descriptions of himself are too masculine! And as for proclaiming that He is the only God and we should have no other gods before Him? Well, that's just too exclusive!
They're going to rewrite their Novus Ordo to appease the feminazis who hate them.
Hey Germans, I know a German guy who had interesting ideas about corruption in the Church around 1517. Go give him a read!
