A private jet slammed into the ground in a massive fireball near a mobile home park in South Florida on Sunday, with all nine people onboard killed in the crash.

The $2 million Learjet 60 also hit trees and power lines as it went down around 1:00 p.m. ET, some people nearby described the crash as sounding "like a missile," The New York Post reported. The jet crashed in Greenacres, Palm Beach County, around eight miles southwest of President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate.

Nine people were aboard the Learjet that was destined for the Bahamas after taking off from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas, according to the Associated Press. It remains unclear how the jet crashed or if anyone on the ground was killed or injured.

Air traffic control audio released Sunday evening paints a terrifying picture of the final moments aboard the private jet. The recording captures the crew frantically warning controllers that the aircraft was rapidly losing control. The final transmission was chilling: "Holy f*ck, we're out of time!"
Moments earlier, the pilot had reported moderate turbulence and "light, clear ice that is manageable." But the situation quickly deteriorated, with a crew member issuing a mayday call and reporting a descent of 20,000 feet per minute.

"Declaring emergency! We're descending 20,000 feet per minute! … We're going to crash into the ground," she said, before screaming.
As the aircraft plunged toward the ground, an air traffic controller could be heard desperately trying to reassure the crew: "I'm here with you, talk to me." After the crew member said they were "out of time," the controller made one final attempt, asking, "How do you hear?" There was no response.

U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy confirmed that everyone on the jet was killed and said the Federal Aviation Administration "is sending a team to the scene to support the @NTSB's investigation.

"Please join me in praying for the families and loved ones of those we lost — @FAANews & @USDOT are closely monitoring this crash and will share updates as we learn more," Duffy said.

The jet appeared to crash in a busy road, where it left a large crater. A camera from a vehicle driving on the road shows the jet hitting the ground nose-first. The jet descended 35,000 feet in just 60 seconds.

A pilot who lives in South Florida and heard the crash told The Daily Wire that it appears either the jet malfunctioned, causing the pilot to lose control or there was a loss of cabin pressure, leading to the pilot becoming incapacitated.
