Happy Sunday, my friends!
I'm back with a brand new Sunday Gospel message from our good friend Pastor Robb Goodman.
Today's message is called "Speaking Right Words," and it goes straight to something every one of us deals with every single day: the words that come out of our mouths.
Pastor Robb begins with Job's question, "How forceful are right words?" Then he walks through the Psalms, James, the words of Jesus and Proverbs to show us just how much power the tongue carries.
Our words produce fruit. They can bless or curse, build faith or feed fear, and even set the direction of our lives. This is not just positive thinking. It is about bringing our words into agreement with the Word of God.
That is a message I think all of us need right now.
Pastor Robb also reminds everyone to vote this week and to pray for our country like never before. Amen!
From Pastor Robb:
Today's Sunday message is titled, "Speaking Right Words."
Do we pay attention to the words that we speak every day? What kind of effect do the words have on our lives?
Today is a shorter message than usual. I had to perform a wedding after church today.
Words produce fruit in our lives. James says a lot about the tongue and what it can do to bring hardship in our lives.
Please listen to this message today with an open heart. Meditate on these scriptures.
Please don't forget to vote this week. Pray for our country like never before.

Pastor Robb Goodman:
Hey, good morning everyone. Today is Sunday, November 1st, 2026. Just a reminder, don't forget to go out and vote this week. Some of you may already have. Personally, I don't trust the balloting system, but anyway, please vote. The Lord requires us to speak up and to be quick to obey the laws of our land.
Of course, not a law that you have to vote that I can think of, but we should all definitely vote. Please continue to pray for the MAGA conservative movement in Jesus' name because God, I believe, is going to do a mighty work. I want to take a moment and thank Noah for the incredible write-up that he gave me last week about my message about the Hebrew word Hesed which is a covenant word and it has so much meaning to it and I really appreciate the write-up that Noah gave me very grateful for that.
So praise be to God. Please follow him. We Love Trump, and you get a lot of good news, really good news. And he's really good at what he does. So praise be to God. Well, I got a wonderful message to you today. And to let you know, we're going to start out in Job chapter 6 and we're going to start with verses 24 and 25.
So, the title of today's message is speaking right words. Speaking right words. And we're going to go over a lot of scriptures today and really talk deeply about this particular subject. What comes out of our mouth will come to pass. It's very true. You know, Jesus said, and we're going to go over that scripture later, out of the abundance of the heart or of our spirit, the mouth speaks.
So, it's really important that we pay attention to the words that we speak and speak in line with the Hesed covenant of Almighty God. And as I taught last week, it's an obligatory covenant for God and for man. We are also partakers of that covenant and we need to obey the Lord. Amen.
So let's go to Job chapter 6 and I'm going to start with verse 24 and 25 and let's pray. Heavenly Father, we give you honor and we give you glory that you Lord are the mighty God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. We've been grafted in to the true vine through Jesus Christ. And now, because we have been washed in the blood of Jesus and Jesus was an heir of the covenant, we have become partakers of that covenant as well.
And blessed be the name of the Lord. You and I are now washed from our sin. We've been purged from all of our sin. And we are now, according to 2 Corinthians 5:17, we are all now new creatures in Christ Jesus. We are brand new creatures in him. And we can obey God.
We can walk with him. We can talk with him. We can come into his presence any time that we desire or want to. It is truly a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful thing that we are now partakers of this eternal covenant by and through the grace of Almighty God. Woo, that's awesome. That is awesome.
When you think about that and when you realize your inheritance is in Christ Jesus, we're no longer the same that we used to be. We are now the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. And if you look up all the scriptures in the Pauline epistles about who we are in Christ, you will absolutely be amazed and it will blow your mind who we are in Christ Jesus.
So, praise be to God. Let's obey him. Let's follow him. Let's listen to his voice and become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in this world through lust. Praise be to God. [laughter] Boy, it gets me excited when I think about it. All right, let's go to Job chapter 6.
And I'll go through these scriptures as quickly as I can, and I won't take up too much of your time this Sunday morning. Teach me and I will hold my tongue. Cause me to understand wherein I have erred or I've made mistakes or I've been wrong. How forceful are right words! But what does your arguing prove?
Do you intend to rebuke my words and the speeches of a desperate one which are as wind? Yes, you overwhelm the fatherless and you undermine your friend. Now therefore be pleased to look at me for I would never lie to your face. Yield now let there be no injustice. Yes, concede. My righteousness still stands.
Is there injustice in my tongue? Cannot my taste discern the unsavory? Wow. Powerful words, aren't they? Powerful words by Brother Job who lived many many many many years ago. Praise be to God. God is so faithful. He is so good. He's kind and he is truly truly wonderful. Truly wonderful. All right, let's go to Psalm 116 and we're going to start with verse 10.
Psalm 116. We're going to start with verse 10. Psalm 116 right after Job and we're going to start with verse 10. I believed therefore I spoke. I am greatly afflicted. I said in my haste, all men are liars. What shall I render to the Lord for all his benefits toward me? I will take up the cup of salvation, and I will call upon the name of the Lord.
I will pay my vows to the Lord now in the presence of all his people. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. Oh truly, oh Lord, I am your servant. I am your servant, the son of your maidservant. You have loosed my bonds. I will offer to you the sacrifice of thanksgiving and will call upon the name of the Lord.
Praise be to God. I will pay my vows to the Lord now in the presence of all of his people in the courts of the Lord's house in the midst of you, O Jerusalem. Praise the Lord. So going back to the beginning here, verse 10, in the land of the living, I therefore therefore I spoke and I am greatly afflicted.
I said in my haste, all men are liars. Now, let's think about that for a minute. Let's think about this. Many of us speak in haste when we get upset, when we see circumstances arise that are not favorable to us and we begin to wonder, "Oh Lord, how am I going to get through this?
How am I going to make it through this terrible circumstance? And we begin speaking the lies of the enemy. We get in agreement with the devil and all the words that he's speaking in our ears. And we must learn how to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Jesus. And as Job said, "Teach me to hold my tongue.
Teach me to not speak anything that is contrary to the will of God." And when we speak words that are evil and are not in accordance with the will of God, we bring curses on ourselves. Words are very powerful as we will learn as we study more into this. Words are very powerful.
What are the words that come out of your mouth? You know, lately I've been meditating on a healing book by Dr. Billye Brim and she's got all these beautiful healing scriptures written out because I deal with a lot of health issues. But it's really cool as I meditate in this little booklet and I say these verses of scripture when I get attacked with a physical ailment that's the first thing that comes to my mind.
No, I'm not receiving this. I am not going to receive this because the Lord is with me. I am the healed of the Lord. He shall heal all my wounds. Praise be to God. I no longer am under the curse of the law. For Christ has redeemed me from every curse of the law, having been made a curse for me.
I'm no longer a curse. I'm no longer under a curse. I am the redeemed of the Lord. And I am baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit. and I now have new life, new blood flowing through my veins. Diabetes is a curse. All of its repercussions and all of its actions are a curse under the law.
And I've been speaking against them and just rallying around the word of God because that's what I need to do. I will put my faith into action by speaking the words of God. So like Job said, "Teach me how to speak right words." Amen. Let them flow out of my mouth because words are what the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
Amen. Praise be to God. God is so good, man. I'm telling you what, he is awesome and worthy to be praised. And so I shall be saved from my enemies. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Let me get a sip of my red tea here. God is so good. He's awesome and mighty, mighty to save.
Thank you, Lord. God is so so good. All right, let's go to Psalm 19. Psalm 19. And I'm going to read this whole thing. Let's do it. Right. It isn't going to hurt us. The words The words of God are life. The heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament shows his handiwork.
Why? Because God created the heavens and the earth. He created everything in the earth. And the scripture says in Colossians that He is before all things. Christ is before all things. And by him all things consist and are held together. By his glory, by his words, the earth still continues. Fall, winter, spring, and summer, it still continues as God said it would.
And so it does. Day unto day utter speech, and night unto night reveals knowledge. There is no there is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard talking about the stars in the heavens. Their line has gone through out throughout all the earth and their words to the end of the world.
In them he has set a tabernacle for the son s u n which is like a bridegroom coming out of its chamber and rejoices like a strong man to run a race. Its rising is from one of he one end of heaven and its circuit to the other end and there is nothing hidden from its heat.
The law of the Lord is perfect. Woo! converting our soul. The word of God is the only thing that's going to change your soulish nature. I'm going to say that again. The word of God is the only thing that's going to change your soulish nature. It's the only thing that will ever change you.
The only thing. So, you and I need to be into the word of God. We need to speak it. We need to meditate on it. We need to speak it out of our mouth. We need to think about it before we go to bed at night. And oh, what a difference it will make in your life.
It'll make a big and huge difference in the life that you now live. Because the Word of God says that Paul spoke—oh, it just went out of my mind. Thank you, Lord. Oh, well, it'll come back if I need it, right? Praise be to God. Thank you, Lord. The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul.
The testimony of the Lord is sure, and it makes wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart. The commandments of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever. The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired than gold, yet much more than fine gold, sweeter also than honey in the honeycomb.
Moreover, by them your servant is warned, and in keeping of them there is great reward. Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults. Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins. Let them not have dominion over me. The Apostle Paul said in Romans chapter 6, "Sin shall no longer have dominion over me."
No longer. When you speak that and meditate on that, you'll see the sin in your life begin to break off of you. It'll change you. It'll convert your soul. Praise be to God. Then I shall be blameless and I shall be innocent of great transgression. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, oh Lord, my strength and my redeemer.
Wow. Beautiful. Perfect words. Beautiful, perfect words. All right, let's go to James chapter 3. We're going to read verses 1-8. James chapter 3. Thank you, Lord. James chapter 3. And we're going to read verses 1-8 after I get another sip of my tea. Don't you all love me? I got to share something with you guys.
Kind of interesting. The other day I went to see my endocrinologist, the diabetic doctor. I have to get a new insulin pump. Mine's very outdated. Been working good for me. I got a really good report from her that all my numbers have been doing really, really good. My hemoglobin A1C was 6.5, which averages a 130 blood sugar each and every day.
That's over 90-day period of time. It measures your blood sugar levels. So, I was very happy about that. And she just kept saying good things and this and that and the other. And of course she hooked me up with a representative from my insulin pump company about how to get a new pump because mine is very outdated as I said.
But it's really interesting because one of the assistants, the medical assistant that I was talking to, she was teasing me and she said I think she said it was my wife. I think she said it. She said, "Oh, I'm going to call you Panzer. You cannot be stopped or moved." And I was like, "Oh my god."
Made me laugh, you know, because that's the truth. So that's my new alias, Panzer. I hope you like it. God is so good. You know what? When you speak the word of God, it will listen to me folks. It will come to pass in your life. It will change you. It will make you new.
Wow. It's just it's just awesome. It is awesome. But we must be disciplined and speak that word because the Lord God will honor the words that come out of our mouth. Praise be to God. He is so faithful and good. Faithful and good. All right. James chapter 3. My brethren, lot let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment.
For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect or a mature man. Okay. He also, I'm sorry, able also to bridle the whole body. Indeed, we put bits in the horses' mouths so that they may obey us, and we turn the whole body. Look also at the ships also.
They are so large and are driven by fierce and mighty winds, they are turned by a very small rudder. Wheresoever the pilot decides for the vessel to go, it will go with a small little rudder under the ship. Even so, the tongue is a little member, and it boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles, and the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity.
The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the entire whole body and sets on fire the course of nature and is set on fire by hell itself. For every kind of beasts and bird and reptile and creature of the sea is tamed and has been tamed by mankind, but no man can tame the tongue.
It is an unruly evil full of deadly poison. With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men who have been made in the similitude or the likeness of God. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so. Wow. Isn't that something?
That's the power of the tongue. You and I must bring the power of the tongue into obedience. And the scripture says the tongue is an unruly member and it cannot be tamed. Well, I've got some good news for you. It can be tamed by power of Holy Spirit. When you have Holy Spirit living on the inside of you, he can bring discipline into your life that will cause you to speak good and right words and it will it will steer the human nature of your body in the right direction.
Trust me, I know what I'm talking about. And this is a very powerful message. And God will have his way. Man, I'm telling you folks, this is one powerful word from the Lord. Praise be to God. Jesus is so mighty and good. All right. In Matthew 12:34, Jesus said this, "Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks."
Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. So, this is a powerful, powerful word. Powerful, powerful word. All right. I've got one more scripture that I'm going to share with you today. We kind of sailed through this kind of quickly today, but that's okay. That's okay. The message doesn't need to be long and super profound and all of that.
Anyway, let's go to Proverbs 18 verse 21, and I'm going to read it to you. Proverbs 18:21 says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue." Now, listen to this. The Hebrew word translated as power in Proverbs 18:21 is the word yad, Y-A-D, or b'yad. And this is what it means.
It literally means the hand or the literal translation actually says this, death and life are in the hand of the tongue. Man, listen to that guys. Death and life are in the hand of your tongue. Your tongue will dictate your life. Your tongue will speak and prophesy things that you don't want to come to pass because you're speaking in agreement with the words that the enemy is putting in your mind.
And you don't want to do that. You want to stand clear of that. You want to obey the Lord and you want to follow his righteousness because you have been now made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and you will speak righteous things, righteous words, and the words that you speak will come to pass because Jesus said that.
He said it in Mark 11:23 and 24. He said, "Whosoever shall say, speak unto this mountain, be thou removed and be cast in the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass, he shall have whatever he says." So, I want you to take a few minutes and meditate for a minute and think about the words that you've been speaking over your life, over your children, over your house, over your finances, over everything that you own.
You know, I remember my grandmother and my mother, God bless them, they both got saved before they passed away. But one of the things that truly amazed me about my mom and grandmother, they would sit there in front of the television, they'd say, "Oh, I mean, just the TV would just blink or something.
Might have been a really quick power outage or something of that nature." And lo and behold, something [snorts] little would happen. They'd say, and my grandmother or my mom would say, "Oh, TV is going up. Time to get a new one." And I used to think to myself, "Oh man, don't be saying that all the time.
You're prophesying doom over your television." Sure enough, couple weeks later, brand new TV in the house, which they were complaining they had to spend money for. So, not good, guys. It's just not good. Not good at all. Not good at all. Wow. Telling you guys, the Lord is faithful. He is so faithful.
So, watch the words that are coming out of your mouth. What covenant are you speaking about? The covenant that God made through his son Jesus Christ. You've been made partakers of his divine nature. You've escaped the corruption that is in this world through lust. And you don't have to be in agreement with the enemy.
You've been redeemed from the curse of the law. So please go before the Lord and just take some time today and meditate about the words that have been coming out of your mouth. I think you'll be surprised because the fruit will match the words that are coming out of your mouth. The fruit will match the words that have been coming out of your mouth.
So I'm asking you to be obedient to the Lord and meditate on his word. Just meditate on his word and what he says and watch what he will do. He will do great things in your life and he will cause you to flourish. Thank You, Lord, in Jesus' name. Well I pray that this message has been a blessing to you today.
I pray that the Lord will touch you and heal your tongue, your heart. Ask the Lord to show you anything that you've been speaking that he wants you to change. And he will faithfully lead you and guide you in the way that you are to go. He will guide you with his eye.
He will honor your prayers. And he will bless you exceedingly abundantly above all that you could ever even ask or think according to the power that is working in you in Jesus' mighty name. Amen. And amen. Well, I want to bless you all. Those of you that might be watching today, do you truly know the Lord Jesus Christ?
Do you really know him? Are you in a covenant with the blood of Jesus Christ? And as I shared last week, if you haven't heard that message, please go back and listen to the Hesed covenant of Almighty God and what that word Hesed actually means. So, thank you so much for watching today.
And I'm going to lead you in a prayer right now. If you don't know the Lord Jesus, please pray this prayer with me. Say, "Heavenly Father, I praise you and I thank you that you are my God. I praise you and I thank you, Lord, that you died on that cross for me.
You died on that cross for me so that I can have life and have it in more abundance. I want to serve you, Lord. I want to be different and I want to obey you from here on out in the mighty name of Jesus. Lord, I confess all my sin to you. I confess every evil deed that I've ever committed.
And I confess to you that I am a sinner. Jesus, You shed Your blood for me. And now I'm asking you to cleanse me with that holy blood that you shed on Mount Calvary just for me. Thank you, Lord. Help me. Let me walk in the covenant greatness of Almighty God in Jesus' holy name.
Amen and amen. Thank you Lord. Thank you Lord. Jesus name. Thank you, Lord. God is so good. He's so good. He's worthy to be praised. So worthy to be praised. Thank you, Lord. I receive your forgiveness. I receive your blood to cleanse me from every secret sin that I've ever committed. Let me walk in the covenant of Jesus Christ by the power of the living God.
In Jesus' holy name, cleanse me and redeem me. I will walk before you every day of my life. Thank you, Lord. That's awesome, isn't it? That is just awesome. God is good, isn't he? He's so good. Well, I hope to find you back here next week, next Sunday at the same time. Lord willing, may God bless you and cause his face to shine upon you.
May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you his great love, his great shalom. Shalom alikum. The peace of God be with you and guide you continually in Jesus' holy name. Amen. And amen. I love you guys. Blessings to all of you. And may the name of the Lord God be praised every single day in your life in Jesus' name.
Amen. Hallelujah. God is so good. See y'all next time. Love you guys.
