Nebraska’s Matt Rhule Says Cornhuskers Fan Cursed At His 13-Year-Old Daughter After Loss To Washington

Tough crowd in Lincoln … geez.

The 13-year-old daughter of Nebraska head football coach Matt Rhule was walking around Memorial Stadium on Saturday night after the Cornhuskers' 17-10 defeat against Washington when a fan approached her—a

Nebraska fan.

"F you and F your dad," stated Rhule claims the man told her. (RELATED: Florida State Fires Head Coach Mike Norvell Amid 3-5 Season)

Rhule provided confirmation Monday that he isn't exiting Lincoln, though he said that if fan antics like this keep happening, it will push him out of college football and that he would not tolerate harassment towards his family.

"I'm not going to keep coaching if it means my kids grow up screwed up," Rhule said. "You know, I'm not going to [keep] coaching and see my daughter shook."

WATCH:

College football fandom is a religion, especially in a place like Nebraska. People live, breathe and die by the scarlet and cream. When their team drops a heartbreaker at home, emotions run hot, especially after they started out the season 5-0 just to lose three straight games.

Frustration is part of the game. Disappointment is guaranteed.

But harassing a teenage girl outside a stadium? What are we doing, man?

Matt Rhule's daughter didn't suit up for the offense. She didn't call a bad play on 3rd-and-long. And she certainly didn't throw an interception.

I'm sorry, but if your identity is so wrapped up in a football team that you feel the need to walk up to a coach's kid and hurl obscenities, you need to reevaluate your whole damn life.
