Republican candidate has home targeted by drive-by shooter

Be on the lookout — the tolerant Left is at it again.

The home of a Republican running for a seat on the Mecklenburg County Board of Commissioners in North Carolina was targeted in a drive-by shooting this week.

Because there aren't enough conservatives who have been shot at lately.

Here's more from WCNC in Charlotte:

Aaron Marin, a Republican running for the District 1 seat, said in a social media post that shots were "intentionally directed only at our house" while he was home with his wife and two young sons.

'By God's grace, we are all safe and unharmed — but as a husband and father, there are no words to describe the shock of hearing gunfire directed at your home,' Marin wrote.

Law enforcement responded quickly to the incident but refused to comment on the investigation. Marin, who is the lone Republican in the race, stopped short of declaring the shooting as politically motivated but understandably condemned the act of violence.

'Violence has no place in our community or in our political process,' Marin wrote. 'Differences must be resolved peacefully, through dialogue and the democratic process — not through violence.'

'I will not be intimidated. My commitment to serving Mecklenburg County and protecting our community remains stronger than ever.'

Thank God he and his family were unharmed.

Isn't it interesting that only one side seems to get regularly shot at?

Weird.
