Mom-of-two's cryptic last post before she vanished without a trace after failing to pick kids up from youth club

Mom-of-two's cryptic last post before she vanished without a trace after failing to pick kids up from youth club

A family is desperately searching for a mother of two after she posted a cryptic message on social media days before she vanished from her home in Wyoming.

Kandice Gunter, 30, was supposed to pick up her children, aged nine and six, from an after-school care facility in Casper on October 29.

When the mother failed to show up, her family got worried and informed the police.

Kandice's sister, Kayla Gunter, told the authorities that she talked to her sister a day before she went missing at 10.41am.

The sister added that Kandice had posted a cryptic post a few days before the incident. 'Success for me happens in silence,' Kandice wrote on Facebook.

Kayla said that while the sisters typically talked three times a day, Kandice's calls stopped after Wednesday. She never gave a hint that she was not doing well, she said.

The family filed a missing report with the Casper Police Department a few hours after because it was very unlikely that she did not pick up her children, Kayla said.

'That's why I started freaking out,' Kayla told the Cowboy State Daily. 'It's totally out of character for her not to show up to get her kids,' she added.

Kandice had moved to Casper from Nevada about a month ago to stay close to her children.

While she did not have a big friend circle in Wyoming, Kayla said that the move was suiting her sister well.

Her ex-husband was also staying in the house and helping Kandice take care of the children, the outlet reported.

Kayla said that her sister did not give any indications about leaving or cutting off her family during their last conversation.

Her last known location was Natrona County, the Division of Criminal Investigations said.

The police later found her phone's location in Gillette on Friday, approximately 126 miles away from Casper.

Kandice is still missing, her sister said.

She posted a message saying: 'Lord, please just give me a sign my sister is alive. Please.'

Kandice was driving a gray 2016 GMC Canyon with Wyoming temporary plates, Casper Police Department said.

The officials described her as a white female who is 5 feet 7 inches tall.

She has black hair, blue eyes and multiple tattoos on her body including a butterfly tattoo on her neck.

Casper Police Department has urged anyone with information about Kandice's whereabouts to contact the police.
