The verdict is in — and Russell Brand is now facing a prison term.
A London jury found the British actor and comedian guilty Thursday of one count of rape and three counts of sexual assault.
Mr Justice Joel Bennathan told Brand that a "significant" prison sentence is coming. Sentencing is scheduled for Monday.
Brand was denied bail and taken into custody after the verdict.

The case involved seven charges tied to six women and alleged conduct spanning years.
Jurors convicted Brand on four counts involving four women. They acquitted him of two other rape counts and one count of attempted indecent assault.
The split verdict matters: jurors acquitted Brand on three charges while convicting him of rape and three separate sexual assaults.
The Associated Press reported that the 12-person jury, made up of eight men and four women, deliberated for more than eight hours over two days before returning its verdicts at Southwark Crown Court.
The AP said the convictions concern allegations dating back more than 20 years. Brand had been free on bail during the trial, but the judge ordered him into custody after warning that the rape conviction and other guilty verdicts would bring a substantial custodial sentence.
The report also quoted Metropolitan Police Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy, who credited the women who came forward and said Brand had used his fame and influence to exploit women as his public profile grew.
The Associated Press posted its own report shortly after the decision:

Brand, 51, denied the charges throughout the case.
He testified that he had been obsessed with sex and lived a promiscuous life when he was younger, but maintained that he never forced anyone into a sexual act.
His attorneys challenged the prosecution's case by focusing on the length of time between the alleged incidents and the women's reports to police. They also argued that a 2023 television documentary and related reporting had influenced how the events were remembered.
The jury ultimately rejected that defense on four of the seven counts.
The Crown Prosecution Service documented how the case expanded before trial. Brand was initially charged with two counts of rape, one count of indecent assault and two counts of sexual assault over alleged offenses between 1999 and 2005 involving four women.
Prosecutors later added one rape charge and one sexual-assault charge connected to separate reports from 2009 and two additional women who were not part of the original charging decision.
The added rape charge covered an alleged incident between February 7 and March 1, 2009. The added sexual-assault charge covered a separate alleged incident between August 31 and December 1, 2009.
The CPS said those later charges followed a Metropolitan Police investigation into the non-recent allegations. Chief Crown Prosecutor Lionel Idan said his office reviewed the available evidence and determined that bringing the two additional charges met both the evidentiary and public-interest tests required for prosecution.
That December 2025 decision authorized charges; it did not decide guilt. The added counts brought the case to the seven charges the jury ultimately considered at trial.
Brand rose to international fame through stand-up comedy, British television and radio, and Hollywood films including Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Get Him to the Greek.
In more recent years, he built a large online audience around anti-establishment commentary, wellness, spirituality and his public embrace of Christianity.
None of that altered the legal question before the jury: whether prosecutors had proved the specific criminal charges beyond a reasonable doubt.
On four counts, the jurors said yes.
Sky News then confirmed that Brand would not be allowed to remain free while awaiting sentencing:

The final length of Brand's sentence will be decided Monday.
But the central outcome is no longer an allegation or an unresolved accusation.
A jury has convicted Russell Brand of rape and three sexual assaults, and the judge has made clear that a significant prison term will follow.
