Man Left In Induced Coma Following Brawl Breaking Out At Chuck E. Cheese Birthday Party

In Sylvania Township, Ohio, a brawl erupted at a Chuck E. Cheese during a birthday party for a 5-year-old, leaving one individual in an induced coma and sending families fleeing from the establishment. The response from police was shown on body camera footage.

According to witnesses via WTVG, the fight Sunday between Keshawn Fell and Derrick Jones started in the bathroom before extending towards the play area, which was loaded with children. Serious injuries were suffered by a 22-year-old victim, which included an eye socket that was broken.

“Because it was my baby’s birthday. I was throwing this for her. Now my baby is traumatized,” said the sister of the victim. (RELATED: Yellowstone Tourist Sees Life Flash Before Eyes As Bison Nearly Sends Him To Moon)

Their aunt stated that she ran to provide protection for the kids amid the violent stretch.

“All I could do is grab everybody’s kids and try to get them up against the wall and try to get them away from it. It didn’t happen been there at the front door. They literally were running through the whole entire building. And all I could do was think to protect the kids,” said the aunt, per WTVG.

The sister of the victim said that her brother had collapsed in the brawl.

“My brother collapsed and I grabbed my brother like brother. Please talk to me. Talk to me. I’m here,” said the woman, per WTVG.

Jones was charged with felonious assault, while Fell has been hit with a charge of disorderly conduct at a hospital emergency room following the victim being transported. At this time, information regarding that incident has not been released. (RELATED: Man Pulls Gargantuan Bone Of Mammoth Or Mastodon Out Of River, And All Of A Sudden, This Is On My Bucket List)

Each man issued a not guilty plea and has been released on bond.

According to the family of the victim, they suffered a broken eye socket in the fight, with his sister believing that a weapon caused the damage. Police have not given confirmation for the cause of his injuries.

“Like you knew when you went in the bathroom to fight, you knew that this was a kid’s establishment. You knew that. You knew it,” said a family member, per WTVG.
