President Donald Trump-backed attorney and GOP United States Representative Harriet Hageman has won Wyoming's Senate seat, defeating Democrat opponent

James W. Byrd II.

Hageman (R-Wyo.) won Wyoming's Senate race, securing 65%, representing 122,157 votes, while Byrd (D-Wyo.) gained 65,097 votes or 34%, according to the Associated Press. The race was called when 53% of the total votes were tallied.

Hageman is an American attorney and politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Wyoming's at-large congressional district since January 2023.

A litigator for 34 years, Hageman has dedicated her career to challenging federal overreach across Wyoming and the West. She actively works to protect vital water and property rights for rural communities, ranchers and land owners. Additionally, she advocates for increased transparency and accountability by exposing federal land and wildlife mismanagement.

Shortly after Hageman announced her candidacy, Trump offered his "complete and total endorsement" in a Truth Social post in December.
