Pax Americana:

But the whole 51st state thing isn't happening yet. Sorry.
Greenland is not for sale, but they did just ratify a September deal that will allow America to expand its military footprint on the island.
Let's see what that's all about via Reuters.
The United States, Denmark, and Greenland in September signed the agreement, aimed at ending tensions after Trump's repeated threats to take control of the strategically located and mineral-rich island, a self-governing Danish territory.
The deal expands the U.S. military's role in Greenland, paving the way for two new military bases and Trump's "Golden Dome" missile defense system, while reaffirming Danish sovereignty and Greenlanders' right to self-determination.
So. Much. Winning.
The vote was 16-0, with seven abstentions. So it sounds like Greenland isn't too shy about this whole thing after all.
The agreement, signed by Trump, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, and Greenland Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen, ends the era of "America is going to purchase Greenland" (yes, Denmark keeps formal sovereignty), but at least the U.S. has two new military bases there.
We also get a "Golden Dome" defense system, so that's cool.
Here's what Greenlandic Foreign Minister Mute Egede had to say on Facebook:
The road to this has been tough for us as a people. But we have stood firm on our basic principles, chosen dialogue, and taken responsibility for our country's interests.
You think this is exciting? Just wait until you become the 51st state!
For the record, Denmark's parliament still has to rubber-stamp this agreement later this month.
I'll leave this Trump post from a few days ago right here:
