French Green leader Marine Tondelier has reiterated her calls for social media platform X to be temporarily shut down, claiming its owner Elon Musk is using it to interfere in French politics and promote Marine Le Pen ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Tondelier, general secretary of the Ecologists and a declared presidential candidate, suggested that suspending X for one month would improve political debate in France.

"If X were to stop for a month, it would do a world of good for the French public debate," she said, as cited by Libération.

She claimed the platform could not be treated merely as a question of freedom of expression or freedom of enterprise because it was controlled from the United States by an owner seeking to influence European politics.

A 17-year-old who threw a hand grenade into a Swedish couple's home, killing one of their dogs and putting both residents at risk, has avoided prison because of his age.

Södertörn District Court convicted Ayub Jafar Sharif Alnaseree of attempted murder, aggravated destruction endangering the public, and attempted arson, according to Mitti Stockholm.

The court assessed the crimes as equivalent to around 10-and-a-half years in prison. However, because Alnaseree was 17 at the time, he was instead sentenced to two years and four months in secure youth care.

The court found that, on March 15, he threw a hand grenade through the window of a villa on Lugnetvägen in Västerhaninge, Samnytt reported.

New Mexico has had enough of the federal runaround on Jeffrey Epstein's secrets. On Wednesday the state's attorney general hauled the Justice Department and Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche into federal court, demanding the full, unredacted files that could finally expose what really happened at the predator's sprawling Zorro Ranch.

Attorney General Raúl Torrez filed the 40-page complaint in Washington, accusing the DOJ of "stonewalling" a legitimate state criminal investigation into trafficking, abuse, and worse on New Mexico soil.

Publicly released Epstein material already contains more than 13,000 references to Zorro Ranch and roughly 5,000 to the state itself. Torrez says the redactions are blocking the identification of victims, witnesses, staff, and members of Epstein's inner circle who may still face state charges.
