Sen. Angela Alsobrooks, D-Md., on Thursday warned Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to either resign or be "fired," signaling that Democratic lawmakers plan to target his operations for oversight.

Kennedy came into the crosshairs of some Democrats over his "Make America Healthy Again" initiatives.
He originally ran for president as a Democrat, but dropped out of the primary to run as an independent. He ultimately dropped out altogether and endorsed President Donald Trump, who then named him HHS secretary.
Democrats gained clear majorities in both chambers of Congress in this week's midterm elections, but they fell well short of the 67 seats they would need to remove a Cabinet secretary without Republican crossover support.
