Google made sure its viewers knew its stance on President Donald Trump’s record-breaking State of the Union address with a flurry of elitist media hits against his speech on Wednesday morning. 

In its coverage of Trump’s comments, Google News promoted eight leftist media outlets, while denying reporting from any right-leaning media outlets. Google painted a subtle but clear picture of its rejection of the president and his policies as it pushed reporting from outlets like The New York Times, Business Insider, National Public Radio (NPR), The Guardian and NBC News. The elitist media derided Trump’s speech, in some cases stating outright that it was rife with false and misleading claims, and in others framing stories around how Democratic lawmakers boycotted the speech entirely.

The Cackling Coven of ABC’s The View spent the opening segment of Wednesday’s episode raging at President Trump’s State of the Union address the previous night. They decried how the prominent speaking position allowed for an “unfair dynamic” where Trump could be heard clearly, while Democrats only sounded… well, “crazy.” They also denounced the presence of the U.S. Men’s Olympic Hockey Team and had a problem with all the clapping, and not just for Trump.

Despite claiming to champion “affordability” and reframing President Donald Trump’s reciprocal tariffs as an expensive “tax” during her rebuttal to Trump’s State of the Union address Tuesday, Democrat Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger refused to mention the slew of new taxes she’s seeking to inflict on residents of her state.

The Associated Press’s Melissa Goldin and Calvin Woodward were given the task of fact-checking President Trump’s Tuesday State of the Union address and, in some of their checks, they were so pedantic it bordered on self-parody.

The worst example was the duo’s final entry. Every president tries to wax poetic about the legacy of the Revolution and how it lives on to today, and Trump was no different, “The revolution that began in 1776 has not ended. It still continues because the flame of liberty and independence still burns in the heart of every American patriot.”

As we’ve documented recently at NewsBusters, CBS’s flagship newscasts have shown little wholesale changes under editor-in-chief Bari Weiss that we both initially saw and as had been reported. Instead, it’s been more of the same liberal drivel. But ironically, there have been a few moments at NBC where it’s come across as this was the network she actually leads and such was the case on Wednesday’s Today in reacting to President Trump’s State of the Union address.

One of CNN’s most notorious TV egoists surprises viewers every once in awhile by displaying a modicum of common sense in the face of leftist politicians running economies into the mud. His recent repudiation of blue city spending is no exception.

Joe Scarborough has reacted to President Trump’s State of the Union with profanity — and by questioning his sanity.

After a sweeping denunciation of Trump’s remarks on immigration, inflation, and elections, Joe Scarborough declared the speech “extraordinary… for many reasons,” adding:

CBS’s Stephen Colbert hosted his last-ever live edition of The Late Show in the early hours of the morning on Wednesday as he reacted to President Trump’s State of the Union address, which he labeled “dark.”

During his monologue, Colbert and his audience took a page out of Jimmy Kimmel’s playbook and applauded the gold medal-winning women’s hockey team for not being at the speech, “One team of gold medal winners wasn't there because the U.S. women's hockey team declined Trump’s invite to the State of the Union. Yeah. No show. No show. Or as they say in hockey, 'puck no.' The woman actually got a better offer because, this is true, hip-hop legend Flavor Flav invited the team to party in Vegas.”

In reacting Wednesday to President Trump’s 2026 State of the Union address, ABC’s Good Morning America followed its tiresome pattern of being all Trump hate, all the time by repeating an absurd 11 times the President’s grappling with negative polling and went out to deliver a speech that consisted of “brutally harsh” “partisan attacks” and irresponsibly “paint[ed] a rosy picture” of the economy when, in their telling, it’s cratered for everyday Americans.

Asked to choose between protecting American citizens or protecting illegal aliens, those Democrats who didn’t boycott Tuesday’s State of the Union cast their votes for illegal aliens.

They allowed Tiffany Smiley to sit on the set and be strongly pro-Trump in her analysis, especially at the end, when she ripped Gov. Abigail Spanberger as a fake moderate and a  "Trojan horse for the far-left policies" of the Democrats.
