Report: Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta airports under siege after Mexican Army kills cartel leader "El Mencho"

Yikes!

Mexico is in total chaos right now, particularly Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta.

El Mencho is a cartel boss in Mexico and his gang is not taking the loss of their leader well at all.

This is the scene at Guadalajara airport today:

Absolute chaos as the cartel is attempting to overrun the airport.

Air travel is about to be a mess.

Here's GB News with more info:

Videos have emerged online showing people running for their lives out of Guadalajara Airport in Mexico as alleged members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel have reportedly entered with guns

Reports indicate members of the cartel entered the airport just hours after their leader, El Mencho, was killed by military, with members now retaliating following news of the killing.

Throughout Sunday, there were additional reports of cars being set alight and sightings of gunmen on the streets in Jalisco and elsewhere.

Here's the Costco in Puerto Vallarta as civilians are having to deal with the cartel fallout.

And another video:

The US had previously offered a $15m reward for information leading to El Mencho's capture, with the US State Department issuing a shelter-in-place warning for US citizens in Jalisco State amid the chaos.

The Mexican defence ministry said the US had supplied Mexico with information that assisted its operation.

Another bad guy down.

Hoping the fallout is brief and Mexico can regain control of the situation.
