A group of teens have been captured going on a rampage through a UK city centre launching eggs at bus drivers and shoppers.

Armed with egg cartons, the feral youngsters made their way through the streets of Wolverhampton, causing chaos on Valentine's Day at around 7.30pm.

Footage shows the moment the group run up to a bus as its doors open to launch eggs at the driver inside.

The startled driver quickly closes the bus doors as its alarm starts to blare out

Two members of the group then sneak up behind a delivery rider before smashing two eggs on his helmet while he is on the move.

The youngsters next gang up on two men standing in the doorway of a business.

The group then threw dozens of eggs at the men, with one shouting at the youngsters before attempting to confront them.

However, the group began to run after him up the high street and began pelting him with eggs for a second time.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: 'The Safer Travel team are investigating after eggs were thrown at a bus on Market Street in Wolverhampton at just before 7.30pm on Saturday, February 14.

'Anti-social behaviour is not acceptable and is a focus for the Safer Travel Partnership which polices the public transport network in the West Midlands.'

It comes after transport staff in the West Midlands claimed they were experiencing a growing trend of antisocial behaviour on public transports towards the backend of last year.

Terrified drivers said their buses are being continuously targeted by 'lawless' teens hurling fireworks towards vehicles and smashing windows.

Andy Collett, who has been driving bus routes in Birmingham for 38 years, claims he was 'attacked by about 30 school children', which left him with 'cuts and bruises' after the group tried to storm on board.

Mr Collett said 'lawlessness' among young passengers is becoming increasingly common and that he tries to avoid shifts where he'd be travelling on routes with a reputation for antisocial behaviour.

Neil Evans, bus driver for 33 years, has also witnessed an increase in antisocial behaviour, saying that 'society has changed'.

He told the BBC: 'They just walk onto the bus and do what they want, when they want, how they want, and nothing's done about it.'

CCTV footage showed the moment masked teenagers threw a barrage of fireworks at buses in Birmingham over Halloween and Bonfire Night.

Halloween night in Birmingham saw nine people arrested after the city descended into a 'war zone' as unruly yobs launched fireworks at the packed double-decker bus.

The terrifying clip emerged on social media of the hooded thugs hurling dozens of rockets in rapid succession at the vehicle.

Nearby in Solihull, a Public Space Protection Order has been imposed at Chelmsley Wood to stop youths from gathering in large groups and to force them to remove masks and hoods.

Bus driver Bryan Cook recently called police after he was threatened with a knife, while driving the 72 bus to Chelmsley Wood.

'We keep telling everyone. No one does anything,' Mr Cook told the BBC.

The British Transport Police has recorded an increase of 24 per cent in antisocial behaviour in 2024/25, rising to 40,034 incidents.
