Body of woman, 80, is found in house freezer as man, 60, is arrested on suspicion of preventing a lawful burial
A man has been arrested after police officers discovered a woman's body in a freezer.
Police rushed to a property in Porthcawl, South Wales, on Thursday afternoon after receiving a call concerning the welfare of a person.
That woman, in her 80s, was reportedly found dead inside a freezer at the scene. It is unknown how long her body was there.
A man in his 60s has since been arrested on suspicion of preventing a lawful burial as officers continue their investigation.
Pictures from the scene show a large police presence in place as forensic officers examine the home.
A statement released by South Wales Police read: 'South Wales Police attended an address on Poplar Crescent, Porthcawl at 1.45pm on Tuesday, February 17, after a call concerning the welfare of a woman.
