Brazil just re-elected Lula. Again.
The 80-year-old leftist came from behind, took 51.8% to Flávio Bolsonaro's 48.2%, and locked in a fourth term. First time since 1989 the first-round loser flipped the runoff.
Nice story. Until you look at how it happened.
Three minutes before the polls were supposed to close, a Supreme Court justice ordered them kept open two more hours. Both sides asked. The timing was perfect for confusion. Bolsonaro is not conceding. He's calling it inexplicable and wants the whole thing thrown out.

Lula keeps coming back. Same promises. Same excuses. Same hammer-and-sickle energy. Socialism never works. It only brings oppression and misery. You can vote it in. You cannot vote it out.
