A Venezuelan man who claimed the voices in his head told him to come to Washington to kill Donald Trump was arrested in a stolen car with multiple firearms near the White House Thursday.
Ronny Yordrix Guanipa Chrinos was previously subject to the catch and release policy of the Biden administration at the Texas border in 2024, a DHS spokesperson told The Daily Mail.
Secret Service discovered three firearms - an AR-15-style rifle and two handguns - along with dozens of rounds of ammunition.
'Thanks to our brave Secret Service officers, this illegal alien with three firearms in his vehicle was arrested near the White House before he could harm anyone,' said Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin.
'On top of threatening President Trump, he is an illegal alien from Venezuela who had no business being in our country in the first place. This is just an example of the incredible work done by the men and women of the Secret Service every single day.'
The President has faced multiple assassination attempts dating back to being shot at during a 2024 rally in Pennsylvania.
