A man has been arrested after the bodies of two teenagers were found at an East Yorkshire holiday park.
A 15-year-old girl and 17-year-old boy were pronounced dead at the scene at the Little Eden Holiday Park in Bridlington yesterday.
Officers found the bodies of the teens in a rental property on the site after responding to concerns for their safety.
Humberside Police have since arrested a 33-year-old man on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter and he remains in custody.
The deaths are currently being treated as unexplained but the force says it is 'exploring the possibility that they may be connected to carbon monoxide poisoning.'
Police are investigating the tragedy alongside firefighters, the Health & Safety Executive and the local council.
Northbank Divisional Commander, Chief Superintendent Matt Peach, said: 'Emergency services were in immediate attendance at the holiday park, where sadly a 15-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy were pronounced deceased inside the property.
'This is incredibly distressing and heartbreaking for the families of the teenagers involved, and they are at the forefront of our minds and actions.

'Specially trained officers have been supporting the families over the last 24-hours, and I would please ask people to refrain from any form of speculation and to respect their privacy.
'A cordon remains in place to allow enquiries to continue, and we are working closely with Humberside Fire & Rescue, the Health and Safety Executive, and East Riding of Yorkshire Council to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
'We have a dedicated team conducting extensive enquiries, some of which have been complex and required additional time to complete. As part of the investigation, I can confirm a 33-year-old man has been arrested today on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter and remains in custody.
'Whilst we are in the very early stages and the deaths at this time remain unexplained, we are exploring the possibility that they may be connected to carbon monoxide poisoning, with further enquiries continuing with our partner agencies.'
Humberside Police has confirmed it attended all other properties on the site to offer 'advice, support and guidance and ensure everyone's safety.'
Chief Superintendent Peach added: 'Those living in the area will continue to see an increased police presence and we will provide further updates as soon as we are able to.'
