More than 30 rounds ripped into a southwest Atlanta home while two people slept inside early Thursday morning.
The house belongs to Robert Sinners, communications director for Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. Sinners and his fiancée escaped the barrage without a scratch.
The surveillance footage captures the terrifying burst of gunfire:
WSB-TV reports that Atlanta police were called to Wellington Street SW at about 12:46 a.m. Investigators said at least two men opened fire on the home, leaving bullet holes from the front of the house all the way into the kitchen.
One round struck a board game inside. Sinners said he first noticed one bullet hole, then another, until the count climbed to at least 30 across walls and windows.
Witnesses gave officers a description of the men seen running from the property. Police located two men nearby, chased them on foot, and recovered a firearm and multiple rounds of ammunition from one of the suspects.
