American professional golfer Brian Harman, in an interview with the PGA Tour, shared a list of at least 25 requirements for anyone who wants to date his daughter Saturday, the clip sparked debate across social media.
The championship-winning golfer included several blue-collar skills on his list, including changing a tire and the oil and knowing how to start fires indoors and outdoors.
Other requirements included knowing "how to spiral a football and be able to catch one thrown to you from 20 yards." (RELATED: LIV Golf Secures Funding Through Lead Investor, Golfers To Be Majority Equity Holders)
Some on the list appeared to simply be basic social skills, such as knowing how to write a well-crafted thank-you letter and speak at a wedding.
One requirement was knowing how to back a car into a parking spot. Another was knowing "how to back a trailer and understand trailering things."
Former Salomon Brothers and Citigroup investment banker John LeFevre reposted the video with a list of 15 of his own requirements to date his daughter.
Requirements to date my daughter:
— John LeFevre (@JohnLeFevre) August 10, 2026
1. Spiral a football or swing a golf club proficiently
2. Tie a proper tie knot and take your hat off indoors
3. Change a tire, jump a battery, and back up a trailer without a YouTube tutorial
4. Have a job even if your parents are rich…
I'm all of these, but never backed up a trailer.

Also, I'm 59, so I'm out.
Hard to take seriously a guy who waggles over the ball for 40 seconds and looks at the hole 73 times. Not exactly what I would consider a manly man.
