President Donald Trump and his allies could be facing a reckoning on Capitol Hill after a stunning Democratic blue wave swept Republicans out of power in both chambers of Congress.
Voters delivered a crushing blow to the GOP in Tuesday's midterm elections, handing Democrats control of the House and Senate and setting the stage for a bruising final two years of Trump's presidency.
When the new Congress takes office in January, Democrats will have the power to subpoena documents, summon witnesses and launch investigations into the administration's activities. And their list of potential targets extends well beyond Trump himself.
Democrats have signaled they want to scrutinize the Trump family's business dealings, Elon Musk's government contracts and controversial role in the administration, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and the handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files. They have also promised to investigate what they allege is widespread corruption and abuse of power.
So, with a long list of potential targets and political scores to settle, who do YOU think Democrats should investigate first? Cast your vote in our DC Insider poll below. We'll reveal the results in next week's edition.
