LoBaido reportedly suffered a heart attack as he was confronting New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani at an event at Midland Beach.

A prominent Staten Island artist and activist suffered a medical emergency Tuesday evening during the NYPD's National Night Out Against Crime event at Midland Beach, prompting a rapid response from emergency personnel who performed life-saving measures before transporting him to a hospital, silive.com reported.
Scott LoBaido experienced the emergency shortly before 7 p.m. near 488 Father Capodanno Blvd. during the annual community event, according to emergency dispatch information. The gathering is part of the nationwide National Night Out campaign, which is designed to strengthen relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve through neighborhood events.
An FDNY spokesperson told multiple New York media outlets that crews were dispatched at 6:56 p.m. following a report of a person in cardiac arrest. Witnesses said first responders immediately began cardiopulmonary resuscitation and used an automated external defibrillator in an effort to revive LoBaido before he was taken by ambulance to a hospital. Officials have not released an update on his condition.
The medical emergency unfolded as hundreds of residents attended Staten Island's National Night Out festivities, which featured police officers, firefighters, community organizations and family-friendly activities.
