Chilling New Details Emerge After Longtime TV Host Harms Himself With Knife On Livestream

Perez Hilton's children were inside his Miami home just minutes before the longtime celebrity blogger suffered a severe mental health crisis during a disturbing livestream, his family revealed.

Hilton was hospitalized Tuesday night after appearing on TikTok while harming himself with a knife inside the home.

His family has now disclosed that his children, sister and niece were present shortly before the livestream began and were forced to leave as the situation escalated.

According to a statement published on Hilton's website, relatives "immediately fled" once they realized he was "experiencing a severe mental health crisis and harming himself."

The family said the decision was made to shield the children from "witnessing any further trauma."

"Our family cannot express enough our continued gratitude for the overwhelming outpouring of love, support, and prayers we have received during this incredibly difficult time," the statement began.

"The events of the past several days have been nearly unbearable for our family.

"Just minutes before the public livestream incident, Perez's children, niece, and sister were inside the home. When it became clear that Perez was experiencing a severe mental health crisis and harming himself, they immediately fled to protect the children from witnessing any further trauma.

"Our highest priority right now is helping the children begin to heal from what they experienced. An important part of that process is allowing them to safely return home and begin rebuilding a sense of security and normalcy.

"For the children's safety, privacy, and well-being, we respectfully ask members of the media, paparazzi, content creators, and the public to leave the area surrounding the family's home and not return. Please allow his children the privacy and space they need during this unimaginably difficult time.

"We will continue to provide updates on Perez's condition through PerezHilton.com when we have additional information we are able to share.

"Again, thank you for your compassion, understanding, and continued prayers."

Hilton is the father of three children born through surrogacy. His eldest son was born in 2013, followed by daughters in 2015 and 2017.

The family's statement focused heavily on protecting the children as they begin coping with what happened inside the home.

Relatives also called on photographers, media outlets, online creators and members of the public to stay away from the property so the children can return without additional disruption.

No further details about Hilton's medical condition were immediately released.

His family said future updates would be shared through his website when more information becomes available.

In another chilling development, Hilton appeared to foreshadow the crisis weeks earlier during a conversation about his health and state of mind.

Perez Hilton said he thought he might die just weeks before the alarming livestream, a troubling remark that has resurfaced following his hospitalization.

The resurfaced comments have added another troubling layer to the incident as Hilton's family waits for more information about his condition. For now, relatives say their focus remains on his recovery and helping his children regain a sense of safety and normalcy.
