The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) announced that its fighter jets intercepted aircraft violating Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) airspace over Bedminster, New Jersey.

Two "general aviation aircraft" were intercepted by NORAD F-16 fighter jets on Sunday and escorted out of the area, according to information provided by the Digital Visual Information Distribution System (DVIDS).

NORAD did not provide a reason for the incursion.

President Donald Trump was reportedly attending a golf tournament over the weekend at the Trump National Golf Club Bedminster and was expected to leave on Sunday.

Video footage shows a NORAD fighter jet intercepting an aircraft, which appeared to be a small Cessna plane, according to Fox News.

NORAD called on pilots to check flight restrictions and notices before taking flight.
