In a 2021 Substack, this dude really said that football is toxic masculinity.

He said it aloud as well:

This message is sure to go over well in ... where is Abdul running? Michigan?

Home of the Big House, the Lions, and Sparty.

El-Sayed said this specifically in a piece on his Substack attacking one of America's favorite old-school coaches, Jon Gruden 😂

Could anyone be more out of touch with the heart of the Midwest?

Here's more from The Midwesterner on El-Sayed's anti-football screed, where he reflected on his own time playing high school sports:

El-Sayed said a particular 'bro' culture had been replicated within football for decades.

'Racism, misogyny, and homophobia were lingua franca,' he wrote.

Yes, just what America needs. A softer, gentler version of football where men aren't allowed to be men.

Not a total shock coming from this guy:

I can't imagine why he experienced homophobia in the football locker room 😂
