A new Chatbot called ChatTJB AI has gone viral not because of its snazzy billboard in San Francisco but because of its amazing responses.

And the responses are amazing because ChatTJB isn't a bot at all; it's actually just the initials of some guy named Tucker J. Bryant (Average Individual).
Yep, it's just one guy, fielding people's questions as if he's an AI bot.
And people absolutely love the whole idea.
The New York Post reports that Bryant has been completely overwhelmed by thousands of questions every day.
It's gotten so crazy that Bryant is opening the site up to other Average Individuals interested in pretending to be Chatbots too.
hi! this thing got way more attention than i anticipated and it is no longer conceivable for me to keep up with prompts (5000 per hour at its peak lol), but a ton of people have asked if they can get involved, so we're going to try ChatTJB out as a community project. now when you send prompts you'll be talking to an approved AI (Average Individual) from the broader community rather than me (only one person tho, you won't get bounced between people mid-conversation). if you want to get involved, hit "become an AI*" at the top of the page.
And even the volunteer AI page has been so overloaded with responses that there's a waiting list to be a fake Chatbot.
It seems like people are getting pretty desperate for a real-life connection if this is what they're resorting to.
So, I guess it's time to issue a reminder to take a minute, go outside, touch grass, and meet the neighbors.
They're sure to give you better advice than an AI bot of either the machine or human varieties.
