Francesca Hong distances self from past woke positions, says she went to school for sports journalism and bad takes are part of the game

Boy, does this explain a lot.

Francesca Hong, the socialist running for governor in Wisconsin, is trying to get out of her past comments about abolishing the Senate, abolishing the police, and other radical-Left policies by chalking it up to "bad takes."

And she's an expert on this because she trained to be a sports journalist.

I was actually trying to become a sports journalist when I first went to college so I learned then you have some hot takes, sometimes bad takes on Twitter. And I let my feelings out into the world.

Like I said, it explains a lot.

I've long said the only thing worse than a journalist, in terms of being an awful person, is being a sports journalist.

Hong "let her feelings out into the world," but in 2026 she wants us to think those aren't her real feelings on the matter anymore.

Wisconsinites aren't buying Hong's change of heart.

Hong is still to this day a member of the DSA, and as much as she's trying to walk back her previous positions, the party platform is still clearly anti-American.
