Over the last few weeks, Cambridge sociologist Jason Arday - once celebrated as the youngest black professor to ever work at the university - has been accused of plagiarizing his academic work.
Not only that, but he has been charged with hiding the fact that his upcoming book was written by a ghostwriter, as well as lying about his past jobs at various schools.
When reporters reached out with questions, British police told them to back off because they were causing the professor emotional distress.
No joke, that really happened!
As evidence of plagiarism mounted, major British media outlets like the BBC bravely called all of Arday's critics racist.
They continued to imply this in coverage of Arday's resignation letter.
Like Jussie Smollett and many others, the professor has claimed that racists have targeted him and threatened him with violence, despite any real evidence.
The media seems to take such claims at face value because they are obsessed with skin color and racism.
Don't feel too bad for the professor…
