Tyler Boebert, 21, son of Colorado Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert, has been released on a $10,000 bond after he was charged with 'sexual exploitation of a child.'
According to Colorado court records entered on August 6, 2026, Tyler was charged with three counts of sexual exploitation of a child, including a video charge. The charges are all felonies that allegedly occurred on January 1, 2024.
He was also slapped with two charges of 'contributing to the delinquency of a minor.'
Boebert told the Daily Mail, 'I love my son. We take these allegations very seriously and pray for everyone affected during this challenging time.'
The records indicate that Tyler was released on August 9. He is scheduled to appear in Garfield County District Court on August 19th.
He has not yet entered a plea in the case first reported by American Muckrakers.
This is not the Congresswoman's son's first run-in with the law, as he was charged with child abuse in February 2026.
Tyler, one of Boebert's four children, was slapped with a 'misdemeanor charge of child abuse without injury' according to 9News.
He is accused of leaving his two-year-old son unattended at the Congresswoman's home in Windsor, Colorado, in February.

The tot then reportedly wandered away from the house, which is located close to a lake.
Representative Boebert told 9News at the time that there's 'no excuse' for her son's actions and that she's 'very frustrated this happened.'
'A kind woman quickly and safely secured him, and authorities were called as a precaution,' Boebert added at the time.
The charge was Tyler's second of the same nature.
Tyler was cited on July 11, 2025, for leaving his son unattended.
He was charged with criminal negligence where no death or injury occurred, according to documents from the Windsor Police Department.
Tyler welcomed a son in June 2023 when he was still a teenager, making Boebert a grandmother at the age of 36.
The Republican said in a statement to the Daily Mail previously, 'Tyler has been doing a great job getting his life on track as a father and citizen over the past year.
Boebert often brings her grandson to DC with her, and he was seen in a photograph depicting the congresswoman's visit to a local farm in Colorado, shared by her office this morning.
