Former NBA star Chris Bosh revealed during an interview with Sam Yip of HoopsHype that he nearly died in January due to a pulmonary embolism.

“Yeah, I had an episode in January,” Bosh said.

“I almost dropped dead pretty much and came back to life. I’m not joking. Yeah. I had another pulmonary embolism. It was in January. Yeah, yeah, this past year. I was in the hospital for a week,” the 11-time NBA All-Star said.

“But, take your medicine. So, I’m taking my medicine every day, taking care of myself every day, and watching it. So, I mean, no symptoms came either, you know, so,” he added.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani's administration announced that its city-run grocery stores will require identification to prevent some shoppers from taking advantage of the program.

"How are you going to keep people from taking advantage of that deal?" one reporter asked.

"Is there going to be a limit on the number of items that someone can take that are discounted at that level from that essential basket?" the reporter questioned.

"So our RFP [Request for Proposal] makes it very clear that this is a program for New Yorkers to be able to put food on the table, not a program for people to be able to make a quick buck through reselling," Mamdani responded.

Jeanny Pak, the interim president and CEO of the NYC Economic Development Corporation, said Mamdani's administration would issue a form of identification to New Yorkers to make purchases at the city-run grocery stores.

"We are looking to make sure that we target New Yorkers whether it be a sort of library card-esque thing and also we manage who's buying and that it is focused on everyday New Yorkers," Pak said.

Ted Cruz is looking past the next election and straight at a Democratic Party being pulled hard toward its socialist wing.

His prediction is blunt: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will run for president, Zohran Mamdani will take Chuck Schumer’s Senate seat, and Schumer’s long career in New York politics is effectively finished.

The Texas senator laid out the entire forecast in a video posted to X, saying Republicans should not celebrate the radicalization of the opposing party because the consequences would be dangerous for the country.

House Ethics Committee Recommends Censure Of GOP Congressman Accused Of Sexually Harassing “Young Female Staffers”

The House Ethics Committee is recommending a censure of Rep. Chuck Edwards (R-NC), who is accused of sexually harassing two “young female staffers” in his office.

In a 25-page report released on Monday, the committee said Edwards violated House Rules by “failing to adhere to the spirit of rules prohibiting sexual harassment of and unwanted advances to House staffers,” Axios noted.

The report concluded that Edwards “violated the Code of Official Conduct by failing to act in a manner that reflects creditably upon the House.”

According to Fox News congressional correspondent Bill Melugin, the investigation found that Edwards missed votes one evening to visit a female staffer’s house to “perform chores like yard work, decorate her Christmas tree, and pick her up and drop her off for events and activities with his driver.”

“The committee found that Rep. Edwards showered the staffers with lavish gifts, brought them on trips, texted inappropriately, and apparently deleted text messages that the committee was unable to recover,” Melugin wrote.

President Trump signed a new executive order in the Oval Office Monday afternoon — then turned to the cameras and delivered a warning Iran will not be able to misunderstand.

The order creates the first-ever President's Military Spouse Commission, an advisory body charged with attacking the everyday problems that can make military life so punishing for families.

But once the document was signed, the conversation quickly moved from military families to the possibility of a much larger military confrontation.

Trump said negotiations with Iran were happening "right now." He called the moment Tehran's "last chance" to sign a good agreement.

And he put a timeline on the first step.

"We are talking about the opening of the Strait by tomorrow," Trump told reporters. He described that as phase one, with a second phase focused on removing Iran's nuclear capacity.

Two firefighting crews flew toward the same wall of smoke west of Athens on Sunday. Seconds later, their helicopters touched in mid-air.

The video is difficult to watch. It shows the two aircraft converging over the Psatha area before one drops sharply toward the ground.

There were four men aboard the two helicopters. Greek authorities have now confirmed that two survived and two did not.

Two crew members were killed. Two survived.

The Associated Press confirmed that the collision happened while the helicopters were battling a wind-driven wildfire west of Athens on August 2. One aircraft crashed, killing both men aboard: a Danish pilot and a Greek fire-service coordinator who was serving with the aerial mission.

The second helicopter made an emergency landing. Its British pilot and Greek crew member survived with minor injuries and were taken to a military hospital as authorities secured the accident sites.

President Trump just put Washington, D.C.'s likely next mayor on notice.

Asked Monday whether he would federalize the nation's capital if the incoming administration starts undoing his public-safety policies, President Trump did not hesitate.

"Would I federalize D.C.? I'm allowed to do that!" he said from the Oval Office.

Then he turned directly to Democratic mayoral nominee Janeese Lewis George.

"She's a communist!" President Trump said.

The warning came after President Trump signed an executive order establishing the first Presidential Military Spouse Commission. Reporters questioned him at length after the Oval Office ceremony.

Lewis George is not mayor yet. She won Washington's Democratic primary in June and is heavily favored in the November general election, but voters will not choose the next mayor until November 3.

She is a self-described democratic socialist and a member of the D.C. Council.

Residents In Blue State To Soon Face Social Media Restrictions Without Age Verification

New York will soon require social media users to verify their age, a form of digital ID, to access algorithmic feeds between midnight and 6 a.m.

The law, called the Stop Addictive Feeds Exploitation (SAFE) for Kids Act, aims to enact social media restrictions for children and teenagers that curb access to "addictive" design features unless they obtain parental consent.

Although the legislation is written for minors, the age verification will impact every social media user.

The law takes effect in January.

"Social media companies, you're now on notice," Gov. Kathy Hochul said in a press conference, according to New York Daily News.

"Any platform that attempts to bombard our young people with addictive feeds or to monetize their mental health — which is exactly what's going on — will face legal action," she added.

Reality TV Star Arrested In Georgia On Horrifying Child Sex Charges

A reality television personality is behind bars in Georgia after police filed a set of sickening child-sex charges tied to an alleged incident at a hotel.

The suspect is Sidney Favors, better known to viewers as Sidney Starr.

Favors was arrested Sunday after an investigation at the Embassy Suites in the 3400 block of International Boulevard in Hapeville, just south of Atlanta.

Police charged Favors with sodomy, sexual battery against a child under 16, and aggravated child molestation. Those are accusations at this stage, but there is no softening what authorities say they are investigating: the alleged sexual abuse of a minor.

TMZ was among the first national outlets to report the arrest and the three charges filed against the reality TV personality:

FOX 5 Atlanta reported that Hapeville police took Favors into custody following the alleged assault of a juvenile at the hotel. The station said the case has been turned over to the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.

Authorities have not released the child’s identity or other details

Nick Shirley went into Ceuta with a camera while the Spanish enclave was still dealing with the aftermath of an almost unimaginable border breach.

New footage posted Monday shows the independent journalist and his crew scrambling through city streets as men chase them, shout at them and hurl objects in their direction.

One pursuer is subtitled threatening to stab them. Shirley can be heard warning that a man has a knife before the group reaches a Spanish police vehicle.
