Half A Mile Long ‘Pride’ Road Appears In DC
A so called “rainbow road” mural has been painted on a half mile stretch of tarmac in Washington DC, with those behind it admitting they tried to hide its creation knowing it would never have been sanctioned.
The mural, painted to mark “World Pride” as it now seems to be called, runs along 15th Street between V and O Streets NW.
It is replete with the usual rainbow colours and the oppressive looking transgender and other “queer” additions to the Pride flag.

A ‘Rainbow Road’ mural was painted across a road in DC for LGBTQ pride
They said they kept it a secret so the Trump admin couldn’t step in and stop it.
This needs to be painted over asap.
They’re mocking our nation’s capital and promoting child m*tilation.
DISGUSTING

WUSA reports that this thing was actually commissioned “in partnership with the Capital Pride Alliance,” and “is believed to be one of the longest murals to feature LGBTQ+ artists, at 10,000-square-feet.”
Lisa Marie Thalhammer, one of the individuals behind it stated “It’s an awesome project. It’s one of the longest queer murals in the history of murals.”
They also ridiculously claim that dawbing different colour paint all over the road will make it safer for those using it.
“Safety is a very important element to this project,” Thalhammer said, adding “It brings visibility and also helps protect riders in the bike lane.”
How, exactly does scrawling childlike dawbings all over the road make it safer? It’s incredibly distracting to drivers and makes it more dangerous.
Indeed, the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) have issued guidance cautioning against non-standard pavement markings, like artistic murals, due to possible confusion or distraction.
The DC department of transportation has not disclosed how much the project cost taxpayers.
This all comes just weeks after a huge Black Lives Matter dawbing on 16th Street in DC is was finally removed after being there for more than four years.
Since 2020 it cost cost taxpayers over $4 million to install and maintain. The removal cost a further estimated $610,000.
