Kamala Harris Reveals What’s Been On Her Mind In First Post-Election Speech: “That Video Of Elephants At the San Diego Zoo…”

Kamala Harris is back and cringeworthy as ever.

In her first public speech since getting absolutely crushed by President Trump in November’s election, Kamala Harris launched into yet another one of her infamous word salads.

This time, she asked the crowd to allow her to “digress for a moment” before talking about a viral video of elephants at the San Diego Zoo during an earthquake.

“Who saw that video from a couple of weeks ago, the one of the elephants at the San Diego Zoo during the earthquake? Google it if you’ve not seen it,” she told the crowd with a cackle before going on to say,

“So that scene has been on my mind. Everybody has been asking what are you thinking about these days.”

Apparently, Kamala has nothing better to think about than elephants at the zoo.

“For those who haven’t seen it, here those elephants were, and as soon as they felt the earth shaking beneath their feet, they got in a circle and stood next to each other to protect the most vulnerable,” Kamala explained,

“Think about it. What a powerful metaphor.”

The crowd did not seem as impressed by Kamala’s elephant analogy as she was.

Just watch for yourself here:

In case you have no idea what viral elephant video Kamala is referring to (I had to heed her advice to “Google it” myself), here’s the original clip:

Kamala Harris appeared to be (very awkwardly) drawing an analogy between these elephants, who stand together to protect each other during times of trouble like an earthquake, and the Democrat party.

It didn’t land, but hey, kudos for trying, Kamala.

Still, someone should really tell her that elephants are a Republican symbol, not Democrat…

Fox News reported:

Former Vice President Kamala Harris urged Democrats across the country to act like elephants in an awkward digression during her speech Wednesday night.

Harris delivered her first public address since losing the 2024 election on Wednesday in California, offering an angry and negative view of President Donald Trump’s first 100 days in office.

“Please allow me, friends, to digress for a moment,” she told the audience at Emerge’s 20th anniversary gala in San Francisco. “Okay, it’s kind of dark in here, but I am going to ask for a show of hands. Who saw that video from a couple of weeks ago? The one of the elephants at the San Diego Zoo during the earthquake. Google it if you have not seen it.

“So that scene has been on my mind. Everybody has been asking what are you thinking about these days. For those who haven’t seen it, here those elephants were, and as soon as they felt the earth shaking beneath their feet, they got in a circle and stood next to each other to protect the most vulnerable. Think about it. What a powerful metaphor,” she continued.

“Because we know those who try to incite fear are most effective when they divide and conquer. When they separate the herd, when they try to make everyone think they are alone. But in the face of crisis, the lesson is don’t, don’t scatter,” she added.

The New York Post added:

She didn’t avoid the elephant in the room.

Former Vice President Kamala Harris emerged from political hibernation to deliver a stern rebuke of President Trump — soon descending into one of her trademark word salads, this time bizarrely focusing on a viral video of elephants during an earthquake.

“A lot of folks are wondering what’s going to guide us through this moment. How are we all going to figure out how to chart the course?” Harris said during her Wednesday address at Emerge’s 20th anniversary gala in San Francisco. “Please allow me, friends, to digress for a moment.”

“OK, it’s kind of dark in here, but I’m ask[ing] for a show of hands — who saw that video from a couple of weeks ago, the one of the elephants at the San Diego Zoo during the earthquake? Google it if you’ve not seen it,” she then said with a cackle.

Harris described how after elephants “felt the earth shaking beneath their feet,” they “got in a circle and stood next to each other to protect the most vulnerable.”

“What a powerful metaphor,” she said. “Because we know those who try to incite fear are most effective when they divide and conquer, when they separate the herd, when they try to make everyone think they are alone.”

The confusing sidetrack came in the middle of a speech that painted a dystopian view of America under Trump as her former 2024 foe marks his 100th day in the White House.

I’m so glad this woman is not in the White House right now.

Our nation made the right choice!
