In a high-alert Saturday broadcast from WarRoom, journalist and activist Laura Loomer joined host Steve Bannon to deliver a stark warning about what she calls a "perfect storm” of political agitation and national security vulnerability converging on the nation’s capital. As thousands gathered in Washington, D.C. to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army and the birthday of former President Donald Trump, Loomer cautioned that hostile forces—both foreign and domestic—are mobilizing in real time.
Speaking from the heart of the action, Loomer painted a chilling picture of coordinated unrest. According to her, far-left groups such as Refuse Fascism, along with sympathizers of radical Islamist movements, are being bussed in from New York and other cities to disrupt the celebrations and incite violence. "This is the Red-Green Axis in action,” Loomer told Bannon, referring to the ideological alliance between Marxist revolutionaries and Islamist actors. "They are here not just to protest—but to destabilize.”
She cited a recent politically motivated killing outside the Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., as a sign of the rising influence of violent extremism. "That wasn’t just a random act,” Loomer asserted. "That was political terror. And it was carried out by someone shouting ‘Free Palestine’ in a kaffiyeh—exactly the type of rhetoric and imagery we’re seeing more and more today.”
With Trump expected to appear at the event, the security presence was described as “military-grade.” Secret Service, Capitol Police, and other federal agencies are reportedly on full alert. However, Loomer expressed concern that this concentration of security in the capital may create blind spots elsewhere, especially given the backdrop of rising global tensions, including Israel-Iran hostilities.
Loomer also referenced warnings from former ICE Director Tom Homan, who has repeatedly sounded the alarm about the estimated two million illegal "gotaways” who have crossed into the U.S. undetected. "These aren’t just economic migrants,” she said. "Many are foreign nationals who actively avoided detection for a reason. Homan believes—and I agree—that some are Iranian proxies or members of hostile networks.”
Bannon, echoing Loomer’s concerns, emphasized the failure of national security institutions to recognize the ideological and operational ties between foreign adversaries and domestic extremist groups. Both warned that the current political climate, shaped by mass illegal immigration, volatile foreign policy, and a breakdown in law enforcement preparedness, is ripe for exploitation.
"This isn’t just about protests anymore,” Loomer concluded. "This is about infiltration, destabilization, and an assault on the American people and our institutions—right here in our capital.”
She urged viewers to stay vigilant and announced she would be documenting the day’s events on X (formerly Twitter) via her @LauraLoomer and @LoomerUnleashed accounts.
As crowds continue to gather in the capital, the mood is celebratory—but tinged with unease. Whether these warnings manifest into actual violence remains to be seen. But for Loomer and Bannon, the writing is already on the wall.
