After having flown to Michigan on Air Force One and weighed in prior to and during President Trump’s rally marking 100 days in office, CNN senior political commentator Scott Jennings briefly took the stage with the President as he was thanked for “defending me all the time on CNN” and being a “really great” and “terrific” person.

Jennings made it count, joking about needing to buy a farm in the Wolverine State since he “own[s]” so “many libs.”

 

 

While some might say it’s been a meteoric rise for Jennings, he’s really been at this on CNN since 2017 and the first Trump administration, not afraid to tell the truth and bring a sorely underrepresented view of mainstream America to the network of corporate liberals.

Jennings was brief, but deadly: “Thank you. Michigan, we were flying in here today, and I said, look at these farms. I got to get a farm in Michigan, because when you own as many libs as I do, you got to put a place to put them all. Thank you all very much.”

Cue the race hustlers in the liberal media to extrapolate something out of that hilarious one-liner.

As for how Jennings ended up there, Trump had been running through a list of some top advisers when he pivoted to Jennings, telling the thousands assembled in Warren, Michigan that “we have a man here that, I don’t know, but he’s defending me all the time on CNN, and he defends me really well, but he can’t go too far, because if he goes too far, he’ll get fired.”

“I said, you’re amazing. You can take it right to the edge, and he really does a good job. He’s not allowed to go any further. He would be off. You know, he really went totally crazy, which he’d like to do. But I think he’s terrific. Scott Jennings,” Trump continued and then inviting him on-stage.

Despite any apprehension he had, Trump quipped as Jennings approached the podium with the presidential seal: “Come here, Scott. Oh. CNN, this is the end of Scott. Who cares? Don’t worry, we’ll take care of you, Scott. Scott Jennings, he’s really great.”
