Trump has stayed the course of America first, Americans first, and keeping America safe.
The US has remained outside of the current conflict in the Middle East as President Donald Trump has both backed our ally Israel with unwavering support while steering America clear of deeper military involvement in the region. As Israel takes aim at the leadership of the nation that wishes their nation dead, Trump has stayed the course of America first, Americans first, and keeping America safe.
War hawks have been pounding the drums to bring the US closer to the conflagrations in the Middle East, Ukraine and Taiwan, but the president, knowing the US, her troops, her citizens and her economic interests are better served with peace, has walked that fine line between securing alliances and engaging in conflict.
"The President is smart to keep us from direct engagement," War Room's Steven K. Bannon told Human Events. "These Fox News talking heads who never served, with their blow-dried hair, yapping for war with Iran like it's a Sunday talk show segment. They’re not just clueless—they’re dangerous. Betraying the President’s peace agenda, they’re shilling for the same neocon swamp that’s bled America dry for decades. Sit down, shut up, and let the man who actually fights for this nation’s soul keep us out of another endless war."
Trump's wisdom in this arena has been praised by those within his inner circle, as well. "From the very beginning," said a source close to the president, "President Trump’s movement was built on the backs of voters who rejected George Bush’s foreign wars and wanted to put America First. His base is still with him and he is looking like a genius for how he has allowed Israel to do the dirty work with Iran. I’m confident he won’t cave to the pressure of the neocons who want America to directly engage, because he knows his coalition is firmly against intervention."
During his campaign, Trump vowed to continue his first term policy of no new foreign wars, and though the global circumstances continue to roil, with extremists and despots desperate to suck the US into war, Trump has stayed the course of peace. Americans want peace, they want to support their allies, and they want to keep America separate from the kinds of battles and skirmishes that cost lives and stretch endlessly from year to year.
"Right now, the biggest winner in this conflict is President Trump because he has leveraged Israel to handle Iran without being forced to risk an ounce of American blood or treasure," another source close to the president told Human Events. "The people in his ear pushing him to join in on the bombings and trigger a prolonged conflict ignore how much it would damage Trump’s presidency and the country as a whole. Not only would it break Trump’s political coalition, but it would almost certainly cripple the economy, just as we are starting to make a comeback."
This kind of guidance and leadership is what Americans voted for. When we heard Trump speak about ending foreign wars, about putting an end to destruction and death, we cast our votes for the one man who could make that happen.
"Trump turned 40 years of failed foreign policy on its head," said Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk. "In record numbers, young people trusted the President with their votes because they know he’ll exhaust every effort to make peace, not war. He’s the peace through strength President."
Kirk, who was key in getting out young voters for the president who were opposed to war and conflict and for the prioritization of American interests, noted that it's not young Americans but those who make up the base of the GOP who are done with US engagement in foreign fights.
"The base has war fatigue," Kirk said. "That’s all young Americans have ever known — blood and death and sand. We want to focus on fixing America’s problems first. This is an incredibly complex situation in Israel, but thank God we have a president who is working everyday, and sometimes in the middle of the night, fighting to keep America out of yet another Middle East quagmire."
Trump shored up diplomatic and economic relationships in his recent Middle East trip and his first administration's historic Abraham Accords may soon see a new member in Syria. The Middle East is better for Trump's guidance and leadership, and as Israel does what Israel thinks is best for itself and its citizens, Trump does the same for America.
