JACK POSOBIEC and KENNY CODY: Judges are choosing illegal aliens over American citizens

"They’re prioritizing criminals over the federal government trying to do their job and protect Americans."

Human Events Daily host Jack Posobiec spoke with Kenny Cody about the shifting political views of young voters following his new Human Events opinion editorial, "Trump's young MAGA base creates a sustainable future for conservatism."

"The mainstream media and Democrats are trying to paint these issues, that the Trump administration is prioritizing with mass deportations and tariffs, as being inhumane, unpopular, that people don’t like it, that it's too mean," Cody said. "But that story kind of changes when you look at polling. Young voters approve of harsh immigration policy more than any other time in American history. Eighteen to 29... 18 to 35 year olds approve of this policy more than any other time of the last two decades."

Cody noted that within Republican politics, the stereotype of young voters as overwhelmingly leftist no longer holds true.

"Especially within Republican politics, it seems like in the last ten years it feels like young voters are rejecting this idea that they’re all leftist, blue-haired, pro-trans, pro-gender dysphoria on college campuses, and adopting these cultural policies that are so far left and Marxist-leaning," he said. "This new generation of young people is leaning more conservative than ever before."

He continued: "It’s because these deportation policies are not only popular amongst middle age, 45-year-olds, 35-year-olds, they're popular among 18 to 20-year-old conservatives. It’s basically what Tom Homan just said—these are what is popular amongst Americans. These are the people that elected President Trump to do exactly what he’s prioritized: prioritizing domestic soil over foreign soil, prioritizing Americans over illegal immigrants and aliens, and prioritizing legal citizens over flat-out non-citizens."

Cody warned that Democrats, judges, mayors, and governors like J.B. Pritzker are actively undermining federal immigration efforts.

"That’s exactly what Democrats and leftists are doing, like these judges and mayors and even governors like J.B. Pritzker, who want to prioritize harboring illegal aliens and opposing federal government policies and efforts," he said. "When’s the last time we saw this uprising of civil disobedience against a federal government department? ... This is what these Democrats are doing. They’re prioritizing criminals over the federal government trying to do their job and protect Americans. That’s what Republicans and conservatives need to be saying."

The conversation took place following recent arrests of two judges for interfering with ICE deportation efforts. A New Mexico judge, who resigned prior to his arrest, was accused of tampering with evidence to obstruct law enforcement’s deportation of suspected Tren de Aragua gang members residing on his property. In Milwaukee, a judge was arrested after reportedly leading a defendant out of her courtroom to help them evade ICE agents during a pre-trial hearing.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt addressed the controversy on Monday, "This president is trying to simply enforce our nation's immigration laws and is facing roadblock after roadblock, so we're complying with court orders." She added that the administration would "continue to forge ahead with this mass deportation campaign."

Border czar Tom Homan also commented, saying that while elected officials can hold differing political views, interfering with federal law enforcement is unacceptable.

"I said from day one: you don't have to support ICE operations. You can support sanctuary cities if that's what you desire to do," Homan said. "But when you cross that line—to impediment, or knowingly harboring, concealing an illegal alien from ICE—you will be prosecuted, judge or not."

Fox News' Peter Doocy asked Leavitt whether the administration would be willing to arrest higher-ranking judges if necessary. Leavitt confirmed that any official breaking the law would be held accountable.

"She obstructed federal law enforcement who were looking for an illegal alien in her courthouse," Leavitt said of the Milwaukee judge. "She showed that illegal alien the door to evade law enforcement officials. That is a clear-cut case of obstruction. You don't have to be a lawyer to understand that. And so anyone who is breaking the law or obstructing federal law enforcement officials from doing their jobs is putting themselves at risk of being prosecuted, absolutely."
