Tom Homan Reveals How D*ath Threats Have Impacted His Family: ‘My Wife’s Living Separately’

Perhaps no public figure is more closely aligned with President Trump’s bold immigration agenda than his border czar, Tom Homan.

And while Trump’s supporters have generally applauded Homan’s outspoken rhetoric and decisive action, he’s received plenty of backlash from those who prefer open borders.

In a recent candid interview, Homan revealed that the ill will against him isn’t limited to social media criticism.

He alleged that the constant threats have uprooted his family, as the New York Post reported:

“I spent a lot of time with my boys growing up, but as I got more and more — climbed the ladder of what I’ve done with ICE director and now back — I don’t see my family very much,” Homan told Post columnist Miranda Devine during an interview airing Wednesday on her new podcast “Pod Force One.”

“My wife’s living separately from me right now, mainly because I worked for many hours, but mostly because of the death threats against me,” the top Trump aide said. “She’s someplace else. I see her as much as I can, but the death threats against me and my family are outrageous.”

Trump tapped Homan to serve as his “border czar” days after clinching reelection in November.

The official described the moment he received the unexpected call from Trump offering the job to oversee his historic mass deportation effort.

The threats haven’t stopped him from speaking out forcefully against the actions of violent criminal aliens in a series of recent interviews:

The Daily Caller reported on his remarks during a recent appearance on Fox News’ “Hannity.”

“I’ve been doing this for 40 years. This is the biggest concern I’ve ever had,” Homan responded. “You know, we had fentanyl that killed a quarter million Americans. We had sex trafficking up 600%. We got people on the terrorist watch list being arrested at the border. I said from day one, two million plus gotaways.”

During former President Joe Biden’s time in office, Republicans consistently warned about the surge of illegal migrants crossing the U.S. border. Over his four-year term, millions of illegal migrants were allowed into the country, with an estimated 1.9 million “gotaways” recorded by June 2024.

In October 2024, a House Judiciary Committee report found that more than 1.7 million migrants encountered at the southern border had been flagged as “potential national security threats.” Of the estimated eight million illegal migrants who entered the U.S. since January 2021, at least 382 were found to be on the U.S. terrorist watchlist.

“This scares the hell out of me. If you don’t think a single one of them didn’t come here to do us harm, then you’re a moron,” Homan added. “This is the biggest issue I’ve seen in my 40-year career, and it scares the hell out of me. It should scare the hell out of every American, but thank God we got President Trump sitting in the White House because he’s going to take this on 100%.”
