Tesla Firebombing Suspect Released for “Medical Reasons”

A radical leftist judge has just released a suspect accused of firebombing two Tesla Cybertrucks at a Kansas City dealership.

United States Magistrate Judge Jessica Hedges ruled against holding 19-year-old Owen McIntire before his trial because of his “medical needs.”

Those “medical needs” include access to so-called “gender-affirming care” for his “gender dysphoria.” They also include treatment for ADHD and autism.

Judge Hedges let the arson suspect out of custody because in jail, his daily medications and, presumably, hormone treatments wouldn’t be easily accessible…

Take a look for yourself:

BREAKING: Owen McIntire, the individual arrested in connection with the violent firebombing of a Tesla facility in Kansas City, MI, has been released from federal custody before appearing in court.
Court records reportedly show that McIntire has been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, depression, and gender dysphoria.
Why is a suspected arsonist being released from custody???
Local news outlet Fox 4 Kansas City has more details:

Investigators believe McIntire, who lives in Parkville, Missouri, but attends college in Boston, used a Molotov cocktail to set fire to a Kansas City Tesla dealership in March. The fire damaged two Tesla Cybertrucks, but no one was injured.

A federal judge agreed to release McIntire from custody last week.

According to federal court documents, McIntire’s attorney argued he should be released citing “serious and ongoing” medical needs and treatments that McIntire’s attorney believed could not or would not be provided while in federal detention.

The defense filing says McIntire is undergoing treatment for depression, and is receiving gender affirming care that began in March of this year — and that care would likely be interrupted or terminated in federal custody.

KMBC added:

Owen McIntire was arrested earlier this month in Massachusetts and faces federal charges in the Western District of Missouri for allegedly using a homemade incendiary device to ignite two electric vehicles on March 17.

Court documents state that McIntire used Molotov cocktails to start the fire at a dealership on State Line Road.

He is charged with malicious damage to property and possession of an unregistered destructive device.

The government sought to keep McIntire in custody ahead of trial, citing a risk to public safety and a statutory presumption of detention for terrorism-related offenses.

McIntire’s attorneys argued for his released, saying he has no criminal record, strong ties to his community in Missouri, and medical and mental health needs.

Court records say he has been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, depression and gender dysphoria, and requires daily medication and treatment.

This is pure insanity.

Our justice system is now releasing arson suspects due to identity politics.

Judge Hedges needs to be held accountable.
