Detroit News has more details on the upcoming rally:

President Donald Trump will hold a rally Tuesday in Macomb County to mark his first 100 days in office, the White House confirmed. It would be the president’s first visit to the battleground state since winning the November election.

“President Trump is excited to return to the great state of Michigan, where he will rally in Macomb County to celebrate his first 100 days in office,” said White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt in a Wednesday statement.

“Michiganders are benefitting from President Trump’s agenda to revitalize American our economy and secure the southern border, and the best is yet to come!“

Trump last traveled to the state in November for his final campaign rally in Grand Rapids before the polls opened on Election Day.

The Hill added:

Trump’s rally will be held on Tuesday. It will be his 100th day in the Oval Office after being Inaugurated on January 20th.

It’s his first visit to the battleground state since he won it in the 2024 presidential election. His last visit to the state was a rally in Grand Rapids the night before the polls opened on Election Day.

His rally comes after Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) visited with the president twice at the White House. Whitmer has discussed jobs and Trump’s tariffs. She was swept up in a social media frenzy after she hid her face from reporters during a surprise photo opportunity in the Oval Office.

The first 100 days of a president’s time in office is a traditional marker for how the president plans to move through the next four years of their administration. The actions taken, often bold, within the first 100 days of a new administration are viewed as an evaluation of the performance of the president.
