NEW: FBI Says Tren de Aragua Engaging in ‘Irregular Warfare’, Undermining U.S. from Within as Proxy of Venezuelan Gov’t

A week ago one of the most overt Deep State pushbacks against the Trump Administration occurred from within the U.S. intelligence community.

Today, the Trump Administration, and the FBI under the leadership of Kash Patel, is seemingly pushing back — with the truth.

An intelligence assessment purported to be a classified multi-agency overview of Tren de Aragua — the Venezuelan gang now operating inside the United States — was released a week ago, allegedly originating from the National Intelligence Council.

In other words, unauthorized anonymous intel officials LEAKED information that may or may not have been true… specifically to target the premise of the Trump Administration’s targeting of Tren de Aragua members for arrest and deportation.

The assessment claimed U.S. intelligence had found little or no connections between the Venezuelan government of Maduro and the explosive growth of Tren de Aragua operating within the United States.

The leaked report immediately drew fire from the Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard.

It claimed that 18 different US intelligence agencies concurred that there existed no direct coordination between the Maduro regime and the Tren de Aragua gang which has expanded to nearly every major city in the United States.

In fact, as I write, news is breaking this very moment that DNI Tulsi Gabbard has referred Intel Officials to the Department of Justice for PROSECUTION related to this specific instance of intelligence being weaponized against the Trump Administration.

The unauthorized leaked report claimed that only the FBI, now headed by Kash Patel, dissented from the assessment, according to a week old report from the Associated Press:

A new U.S. intelligence assessment found no coordination between Tren de Aragua and the Venezuelan government, contradicting statements that Trump administration officials have made to justify their invocation of the Alien Enemies Act and deporting Venezuelan migrants, according to U.S. officials.

The classified assessment from the National Intelligence Council, released this month, is more comprehensive and authoritative than an earlier intelligence product released Feb. 26 and reported last month by The New York Times, according to two U.S. officials familiar with the assessment. They were not authorized to address the matter publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.

The new assessment draws input from the 18 agencies that comprise the intelligence community. It repeatedly stated that Tren de Aragua, a gang that originated in a prison in Venezuela, is not coordinated with or supported by the country’s president, Nicolás Maduro, or senior officials in the Venezuelan government. While the assessment found minimal contact between some members of the gang and low-level members of the Venezuelan government, there was a consensus that there was no coordination or directive role between gang and government.

Asked for comment, the White House shared a statement on Friday from the office of the director of national intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard.

“President Trump took necessary and historic action to safeguard our nation when he deported these violent Tren de Aragua terrorists,” the statement said. “Now that America is safer without these terrorists in our cities, deep state actors have resorted to using their propaganda arm to attack the President’s successful policies.”

Now, the FBI has come out with its own information, claiming to have much more accurate intelligence.

Allegedly based on more reliable intel — street level and more recent — the FBI’s assessment concludes that there is enough direct involvement between the Venezuelan government and Tren de Aragua to describe it as a proxy of the foreign government.

The FBI report claims that the exponential growth of the gang inside the U.S. was likely facilitated by the Venezuelan government intentionally to undermine the United States, as reported by Fox News:

The FBI assesses that some Venezuelan government officials “likely facilitate” the migration of members of the violent gang Tren de Aragua from Venezuela to the United States to advance the Maduro regime’s objective of undermining public safety in the U.S., Fox News Digital has learned.

A senior administration official exclusively shared with Fox News Digital Wednesday unclassified portions of the FBI’s classified intelligence assessment of the Venezuelan government’s relationship with Tren de Aragua.

President Donald Trump, upon taking office, designated Tren de Aragua, as well as several other migrant gangs present throughout the U.S., as a foreign terrorist organization.

Fox News Digital has learned that the FBI assesses that some Venezuelan government officials are likely using Tren de Aragua members as proxies for the Maduro regime in an effort to destabilize Chile, Ecuador, Peru, Colombia and the United States. The official said the FBI assesses that this demonstrates Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro’s willingness to violate the territorial sovereignty of Venezuela’s neighbors to advance his regime’s policies.

The FBI assesses that in the next six to 18 months, Venezuelan government officials likely will attempt to leverage Tren de Aragua members in the United States as proxy actors to threaten, abduct and kill members of the Venezuelan diaspora in the United States who are vocal critics of Maduro and his regime.

The FBI expects an expansion of similar activities throughout South America.

“These findings should shock Americans but not the law enforcement community,” a senior administration official told Fox News Digital. “They reflect the sentiments of numerous other intelligence assessments across multiple agencies.”

Any further details or specific examples remain classified.

Fox News Digital also spoke to an official from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence Wednesday, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

The ODNI official told Fox News Digital that the FBI’s assessment is based on its domestic law enforcement operations against Tren de Aragua in America.

“This information and intelligence are the most robust and accurate given their focus on domestic security and crimes, versus limited intelligence assessments from other intelligence elements who by law focus solely on foreign intelligence collection and who, until President Trump took office, had very limited resources focused on TdA,” the official said.

This intelligence assessment released by the FBI is purportedly informed in part by the increased and ongoing joint operations targeting TdA gang members in the United States.

Just yesterday, 27 TdA members were arrested in a joint sting operation in New York City, which is exactly the sort of recent actions the FBI claims as the source for its more accurate intel assessment.

Here’s a quick report on yesterday’s big string operation as covered by Fox News:

That operation was announced at its conclusion with a joint press conference that included the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Border Czar Tom Homan, the FBI, and the New York City Mayor — who just recently denounced the Democratic Party for threatening him when he requested federal help for the city’s immigration problems:

The newly released FBI assessment corroborates the Trump Administration’s assertions that Tren de Aragua is very much a terrorist organization and a threat to U.S. public safety.

Recent arrests have been described as having disrupted the gang’s ‘irregular warfare’ conducted within the United States at the behest and coordination of the Venezuelan government, as covered by Fox News:

Yesterday’s arrests in New York City mark one of the first instances in which the Department of Justice intends to use the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) against those swept up in the raid.

The RICO Act has historically been used to take down mobsters, but will now be fielded against the Tren de Aragua as a U.S. based proxy for the Venezuelan government, according to the New York Post:

The feds threw the book at 27 suspected members of Tren de Aragua — and its “Anti-Tren” splinter faction — who allegedly plotted murders, extortion and sex-trafficked young women across New York City.

A twin set of fresh indictments unveiled Monday in Manhattan federal court mark the first time that the alleged migrant gang members are being hit with racketeering charges, which the government used to take down the Mafia — and carries the possibility of life in prison.

“Tren de Aragua is one of the most dangerous gangs in the country, and the NYPD has taken significant action to shut down their operations in New York City,” said Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch in a statement.

NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said the charges target a dangerous gang that has “terrorized” the city since 2023.

“This is a massive takedown of some very, very bad people,” she said.

Most of the 27 alleged gang members named in the sprawling indictments are in custody, with three arrested in New York City as recently as Monday, officials and sources said.

Four suspects remain at-large and 33 guns were seized, including one engraved with “You’re F—ed,” officials said.

The Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act – or RICO – charges leveled in the indictments accuses the migrant gangs of conspiring to commit murder, assault, human smuggling, drug dealing, gun-running and more.

Both the alleged members of TdA and of an offshoot group called Anti-Tren also face accusations they sex-trafficked young women — whom they called “multadas” — into the US, the feds said.

“They targeted vulnerable women from Venezuela, forcing them into sex work and threatening to kill their families if they didn’t comply,” Tisch said. “These are depraved criminals…with absolutely no regard for human life.”

The ongoing battle against foreign criminal and terrorist organizations on American streets continues, on one hand.

And on the other, a simultaneous battle is becoming even more obvious as the Trump Administration shines the light of justice in every dark corner of American governance — previously covered over and protected during the Biden Administration.

I once would have considered it impossible that elements from within US intelligence agencies could leak false intel in an attempt to discredit the sitting President.

Now, I almost expect it, as I’m sure you do as well.

But what is even more unexpected is the swift and articulate response that has now become common place under the Trump Administration.

Gone are the days when the highest levels of American governance — and the entrenched DEEP STATE WITHIN — could get away with simply ignoring and stonewalling the most obvious contradictions, treating Americans as either too dumb to do the math… or too weak to do anything about it.

The last election changed that in ways we are just now coming to grips with.

Some look at these and similar stories and see only the infighting of opposing political forces.

I see the veil of deception being pulled back, and the deceitful narratives being demolished by the truth, one step at a time.

And I love to see it.
