A black woman who allegedly stabbed a three-year-old toddler to death in Cleveland smirked and smiled in court as a judge announced she was being charged with murder.
32-year-old Bionca Ellis allegedly confronted Julian Wood and his mother Margot as they exited a Giant Eagle grocery store in North Olmstead, Cleveland on June 2.
Using a stolen knife, “She then allegedly stabbed the toddler in the face and the back as he sat in the shopping cart, then slashed his mother as she tried to pull her child to safety,” reports the Daily Mail.
Ellis was found a few minutes later walking down the street still holding the bloody knife.
No reason has been found for the brutal murder, with police saying Ellis had no connection to the family and engaged in an “entirely a random act of violence.”
When Judge Nancy Margaret told Ellis she was being charged with murder and multiple other offenses, the alleged killer responded by smiling, smirking to the camera and almost laughing.
The boy's father Jared Wood pleaded for authorities to “do everything you can to keep this monster behind bars” as prosecutors pushed for the death penalty.
“That day, one week ago, she took everything from us,” said Wood, adding, “There's nothing that could ever replace my son or anything that my wife and I, even our other kids, are going through.”
Respondents pointed out that if the roles had been reversed and a white woman had stabbed a black toddler to death then laughed about it, there would be nationwide riots and blanket media coverage.
Others pointed to another controversy involving a TikToker who goes by the handle ‘llddis' who said the n-word.
In a clip posted to TikTok, the woman referred to women who were married to “broke ass niggas.”
This prompted a mob witch hunt, with one account on X which re-posted her video asserting, “We gotta start knocking people out again.”
The woman posted a follow up video in which she mocked the reaction, which includes innumerable vile death threats, saying she didn't care.
There is more outrage over llddis saying the naughty word than there is over Bionca Ellis murdering a small child then publicly laughing it up.
